Not more ugly wheel wells!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!
Just kidding, nice trailer. |

And I AM getting the 53 flat. Wanted to switch to the 53 step tridem he has sitting in the yard but he said it's too late, as the flat came from Wilson modified to meet my requests (all I asked for were in-floor chain tiedowns, and low profile tires instead of regular 22.5 ones). The model I'm getting is called CF-965 (heavy coil hauler, 29' beam) and it can take 54,000 lbs in 4' and 62,000 lbs in 20 ft of space. I'm going to install a third axle in between the 10'1" axles and start making the big bucks by hauling heavy stuff on this brand new 2012 skateboard. |

That's too bad. I was hoping you'd get a step so I could buy it off you in 6 months LOL. [/QUOTE] Now that's FUNNY! |

Prediction: before Sir Gay pays a shop to install a third axle on his new trailer, he already wants to get rid of it for another type of trailer.
I am jealous of him now though.... he doesn't have grass to mow. |

He doesnt post here anymore i take it?? What were we too hard on him. He can spend money. The funny thing is its money he doesnt have.
I like this post off his blog. I wrote them a letter on Friday asking to finance the third axle upgrade but it was not in the cards. I"ll have to do it the old-fashioned way: by setting money aside. How is buying something with cash the old fashioned way?? Sounds like the smart way to me. Seems like he lives on credit. |

Ya know... You guys pick on Tracer quite a bit and seem to forget what he's up against with the laws regarding what he can do and can't do in a foreign country. Just saying. The fact that he's still afloat means he's either lucky as hell or doing something right.
|
Dude, he is doing something right. He is getting good rates on a lot of his loads but he doesnt plan well from load to load and spends like his wallet is on fire and his but is about to catch. If what he posts is true it seems that he literally lives from load to load with no savings toward the future at all. He is on his second brand new trailer in like 2 years and is already planning more modifications even though he is basicly upside down from the first one and is on his third set of rear gears and is in talks of buying another new car when he has been trying to sell his other just to lighten his load. He seems like a good dude but if you have followed his whole venture he makes you wonder just how he has made it this far. Have you read his blog and kept up on his laptop computer and cell phone shopping habits alone?? Its amazing. Again, seems like a great guy and i love his blog but come on. Doesnt take a genius to spot bad business practice.
|
He may be getting decent rates on some loads but then he deadheads thousands of miles to the next load.Sometimes I think he runs more miles empty than loaded.
He also ordered a new F150 pickup that will show up later this summer. He's an interesting fellow. |
You guys couldn't understand the "mysterious Russian soul".....
|
Tracer's a blithering idiot on his best day!
I loved his comment about "getting an overweight permit" when he was hauling TWO JLG 600AJ's! He's so dumb he doesn't realize that you can't do that. He spends like a drunken sailor and was truly astonished that Ford Motor Credit approved his financing because he own the square root of nothing. His only attribute is that he does write well making his blog truly entertaining! Michigan drivers, there countless Canadian crossing the border every day hauling freight to and from Canada...he's not doing anything special in fact I truly believe he would be better and do better financially working under a dispatcher...he just can't think quickly enough or put things together quickly enough. |
I think the guy needs friends and family. Real people, not internet characters. He's lonely and spends money to make himself feel better. At least he's eating well! He should go on that TV show if they'd quadruple his $10,000 pay.
I was shocked to find out he's leasing trailers and doesn't have his name on the title. Spends money on a one step up gear change and then needs an advance for tarps for the next load. For an immigrant, he does have a better grasp of the English language than a lot of American public education victims. Reading his blog is like watching a train wreck unfold in slow motion concerning his business acumen. I got hooked when he posted on here about the trip he took to Newfoundland (was it?) I believe he'll check in here. Love your blog Sarge! За вас! |
OMG he changed gears again?????

But for me you guys wouldn't know what to write about ;) You call me all kinds of names and still read my blog. In case some good guys are still here, here's a quick update:
- I now have a 53 ft FLAT (heavy duty Wilson) with a 10'1" tandem set at 41' - Ordered a couple of 9' long dunnage trays and will be installing them in a week or so when I get back to ON - Bought a new Ford F-150 XL truck (cheap version, but with 5.0 L V8, 6 speed auto, cruise-control, and bed lining); it is being built now either at Dearborn or Kansas City - the sales guy isn't sure - I'm not spending money like crazy anymore: 10% goes into an investment account, 20% to debts; and the rest is for everyday expenses - I decided not to participate in the World's Trucker TV, even though I was already in and was getting ready to leave for Brazil - too dangerous - I now mostly truck 1,500 miles a week at $3/mi GROSS between ON and US - I now have one 4' drop tarp - 16' by 27' but most of the loads I do do not require tarping - Currently heading to Belleville, IL with a load of asphalt shingles, no tarp, 46,000 lbs |

I'm a tracer fan.
Funny how folks do their best to chase off the interesting posters. A pile of bodies is not a stable support for climbing higher in life? |
