You did have a red tag, advising the nitrogen, on the dome lid and on the ladder..right? You advised the tank wash of the fact that the trailer had a nitrogen atmosphere? Other than that....nitrogen can be bled off into the atmosphere with no problem. :thumbsup: |

I checked the "air" pressure last month in my steers and it was 105. 3 Months ago it was 103 You can mix regular air with nitrogen so you can equalize your pressure on the road. BTW I don't own stock in any nitrogen company...just found a better way to run my truck's tires and save money... |
If you believe you have gotten great results with Nitrogen then by all means, keep using it. Automotive service centers keep trying to upsell nitrogen tire fills. I don't really know what the cost benefit would be, but consider this:
The air we breathe is comprised of 78% Nitrogen, 20.95% Oxygen, and trace gases comprised of .93% Argon and .038% Carbon Dioxide, with some water vapor. So introducing nitrogen into the air will not harm anything. I would wonder if they are capable of putting 100% nitrogen into a tire because they would have to evacute the air already inside the casing to achieve this. I guess increasing the percent amount of N in the tire could slow the release of air over time as compared to standard "air". One would have to just figure out the cost benefit for themselves. |
If the Earth's atmosphere is 78% nitrogen, and as according to Fredog, nitrogen consumes all available oxygen..........:eek1:we're doomed.

Air will allow the temp of the tire to rise in warm weather, nitorgen allows for a more uniform overall temperature. When rubber expands and contracts it wears out faster.
