cost plus discount - QPN

Anyone have this discount?

Quality Fuel Networks

QPN Fuel Prices

Some pretty heavy discounts there.

Some folks over at the kevinonxm website have this discount, I wonder if it's available to individual o/o's. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Some of the larger carriers offer cost plus fuel pricing at TA. A friend of mine saved about $0.50/gallon at one fuel stop the other day. I would think the cost plus pricing would vary from one carrier to another depending on the size of their operation.

The best I've done recently at Landstar is $0.60 per gallon off the pump price (I paid $2.14, and the pump price was $2.74). I've been consistently paying about $2.15 - $2.20 per gallon for diesel lately.

Rev, that seems about the same as this cost plus network. One thing I noticed, there's no major chains in it, it's all smaller places. Downside is showers may not be the best. That's a major downside to me.

With Landstar, the Cost Plus is only at T/A and Petro.

For example, at the T/A in Knoxville, TN (I-40 @ exit 374), the actual pump price is $2.399. My price under the Cost Plus system is $1.910.

Just goes to show you what kind of a markup these truckstops are putting on their fuel.

hmm... looks like t/a and petro are in the program:

12/6/2008 104430 TA Knoxville East TN Knoxville I-40/75 Exit 374 $ 0.020 $ 2.034 $ 1.864

$2.034 is the "max price". It could be less.

Wouldn't be surprised if your system is a little cheaper Rev.

Did you talk to them? Is it possible for a single O/O to get on the program,or could we pool our resources here and sign up?

The fuel, the food, the drinks, the gadgets, the the the........anything else they feel a truck driver needs to pay for.

Any bets as to how long before they start putting coin locks on the stalls and urinals??? :D:D

Had something unexpected come up today, and completely forgot.

I got my fuel card thru Apex Capital, my factoring company. Was very skeptical at first but the discounts have been fantastic. In fact, the last two months my fuel discounts have exceeded my factoring costs so I'm getting all my invoices factored basically for free.

TA and Pilot are the major chains on my card that offer cost plus. TA gives you the discount at the time of the transaction while Pilot waits and gives you a monthly rebate, so I have been primarily using TA.
