As far as factoring and all the negative comments, forget them. I never got where I was and am today without taking risks and chances. His cash will start to build over time and he'll be able to do without the factoring companies.

Uh.....NotSteve..... You were fortunate enough to pay cash for everything and have no debt load. Plus you had 5+ figures in cash for operating expenses......

Yes, your right but I've done plenty of things in my life where I put everything on the line and prayed that nothing would go wrong.

The first house I bought I could hardly make the mortgage payments and I would have been in big trouble if the furnace went or I needed a new artesian well put in. I took the risk and took the chance and nothing went wrong and my salary went up and up.

There are many other options if you do have a major breakdown like taking out a loan, credit cards and other ways to make ends meet.

I took a huge risk going from no experience to getting my CDL to jumping right in and hauling loads. Financially it wasn't a problem but the risk was high. I prayed I would make it over the learning hump.

I just wish everyone would help others when they ask instead of giving advise where none was asked for. I wasn't looking for another father when I came to this forum and I wasn't asking for all the reasons I shouldn't be doing it but I got an ear full and it went in one ear and out the other.

You live in a great area for freight. Nashville is very centrally located. He should be able to do well just staying within the 500 mile radius.

I once heard that Nashville is one day's drive away for 1/2 the population of the country.
