The loads had to be tarped also, not sure why because they were banded on every row and shrink wrapped in very heavy duty plastic. They were sand colored brick and they looked expensive. Pretty much every truck was headed to the same place and half of them didn't tarp the load even though the paper work said to. all of a sudden I could see the whole road was on fire and the sides. There was trucks on the side of the road and people. It happened so fast I couldn't really tell what had happened. I'm assuming there was an accident and a gas tank split open or something? |
Steve, for GODS sake , please get some shrink tubes, epoxy, titainiun (SPEL) alloy wire, better yet call NASA and have an engineer draw up a plan and material list , have him send it to MIT, or CAl POLY TECH
and review it then have a panel of the world class electro-engineers approve it and then and only then Hire the REV to come over and fix the DA-N wire . Enough already! |

Just trying to be helpful Steve,
I don't ever pick sides between a spat,..you and Rev have this thing going on and its none of my business. Plays on names are fun and a form of camaraderie. Dogbreath OK,...Dogcrap not OK,...sometimes you have to be told when you have crossed the line of good taste. Best of luck to you,..drive safe. |
Doghouse, it can't be so bad. I'm the one losing sleep everynight since the Rev deleted me from his MySpace even though he made a post saying he wanted to bang my girlfriend (typed her name). (And h's worried about his kids seeing posts on here about him dying).
Everyone crosses the line, you just got to have thick skin  |

Those bricks do look decorative. They look fancy so your probably right. It must be a big order because I was truck #11 that showed up to be loaded. then again, 45k pounds of bricks doesn't build that much.
One thing I've found on this forum is that lots of people are willing to give advise when none was asked for and if I don't do exactly what you say, well, all Hell breaks loose. This wire was such a trivial thing to fix. A million things have happened to me on the road that I haven't posted. Nothing serious but would have resulted in 45 pages of responses, suggestion and criticism and all I want to do is write about it because it's interesting but I won't. A simple thing like saying I burned to top of my hand on the turbo while checking the oil would result in. Yes Steve, fire and heat are hot and can cause severe burns. Did you go to the hospital? No? You better get there right now or it will discolor your skin and cause the sun to burn in that one spot and you will get skin cancer and die in 53 years. Yes Steve, a turbo gets hot. I assume you don't know how a turbo works so let me cut and paste this 87 page summary from the Web for you so the next time you'll know not to get to close to it. Sorry there DogHouse!!!!!!!!!!!! I assume there is something more to the name than most of us don't know about. How about letting us in on it? On another note, I was thinking about replacing all the lights in my dash with blue led's. Led technology has really taken off in the past few years and especially with very bright blue ones. I think the dash would look very cool and appealing to the eyes if everything was blue. It would be much easier on the eyes and give better night vision. I fly a small plane and all the gauges are done in dim red lights but after about 10 minutes you can see everything clear as day. I found the ultimate vacuum cleaner setup by mistake before leaving home. I bought a small 110v vacuum cleaner at walmart and it was sort of ok. The head was a swivel one. The standard size like a house cleaner about 8" wide. It was hard to maneuver around so I thought I would get a smaller head for it. I couldn't find one and realized my home vacuum cleaner had an attachment for cleaning blinds and delicate things. It's that small attachment that is maybe 2" by 1" and has like 4" hairs on it. I figure I'll cut off all the hairs so I get my scissors out and start cutting but as I got closer to the end it was just about impossible because they were packed so tight and stiff. So now they are like 1/8" long and I figure I'll give it a try. Well, I'll be dipped. Those little stiff hairs acted like a 480 volt power head. I was able to put my hand on top of the attachment and drag it along the floor. It raised the nap of the carpet up like using sand paper and agitated the carpet so much that every single piece of dirt, lint, hair, fabric thread was sucked up. With one swipe the carpet is freaking amazing and looks brand new!!!! Sorry to rant so much on this but this is the ultimate thing to clean your carpet and can't say enough about doing this. I just looked out my window and there's another flatbed with those bricks from Melton. He didn't tarp. I didn't mention before but I asked the shipper about tarping and he said if those bricks get wet and dirty the customer will not accept them and your going to be coming back here on your own dime. Time for more coffee then off I go for another nice drive today!!! Sorry again there DogHouse! |
I nominate this thread the funniest of 2008 !!!! Just reading how Mr. Wizard (Steve I am smarter than everyone Booth and his two pom-pom friends) blather on.....
