How much can I get for my truck?

I was just wondering what you guys thought I could sell my truck for if I needed to. I am having trouble with my neck and was just preparing for the worst. Its a 99' International 9200i daycab, I just had a complete in-frame rebuild with a new head and turbo, all of the wheel cylinders done, new brakes all the way around, brand new(2 weeks old) Jost fifth-wheel, new in-dash GPS/DVD unit with all new speakers. Thats all I can think of now, oh yeah its got a Cat c-12 with an eaton fuller 10 speed trans. Its got 630,941 miles as it sits with 2,800 miles on the in-frame overhaul. The truck runs like a champ and it sucks it might turn out this way for me but you gotta do what you gotta do right? Thanks for looking and God Bless!

Taking a rough guess but probley about 15 to 20k

Man thats pretty low. I've seen trucks in a lot worse shape than mine going for 40-50k. Why do you think its only worth 15-20k? Everything is basically new including the engine. The place that did my rebuild said the clutch still had about 85-90% left also. The only thing I can see this truck needing is mabye some steer tires soon. Other than that its in great shape inside and out. Its a pretty dark pearl blue with dual chrome stacks and nice aluminum wheels. I guess because its a 99' and a daycab its not worth that much. Thanks for your response.

It's definitely worth more, but....
Reality is that what it worth, and what you, as an individual, could practically sell it, is two different things!
I'm no way an expert on the truck prices  :D , but if you are not in a hurry, you could probably hit 25-30 range...forget about 40-50!

Do a search on Truckpaper.com. For your year and the smaller engine, prices run $20-25,000. They have fewer miles but no overhaul. The market for daycabs tends to be very localized, so your area may have higher pricing than others. Like Solo said, if you're able to bide your time waiting to sell, you'll increase the odds of finding someone looking for the specific things your truck has.

I'm hoping not to sell this thing. I absolutely love this truck, I just hope my neck will heal up so I can drive again. But I will keep in mind what everyone is saying. Thanks for your responses!

The only prolem I see with your truck is the C12 Cat. If it had a C13 or C15 it would easly be worth $30,000 to $35,000 but with the C12 I would say the most you could get for it would be $27,000 to $30,000.

What kind of fuel mileage do you get with it?

Potential selling point.

Well I get around 6-6.2 mpg's. Whats wrong with the C-12? I heard they had some problems with them but the updated parts took care of those known problems. Either way I guess 27-35k isnt that bad.

The reason people are going to pay less for your truck is because of that the C12 is a little motor. Would you pay the same for a truck with a C12 if you could get the same truck with less miles with a C15?
