Most are throw away's, do you have a reusable type? I've used K&N and those you just wash out with soapy water, blow dry and then reoil.

You don't. Blowing the loose dust out is not the same as a clean one. Obviously the washable ones are a different story but of you had one of those you'd know it.

Most of the time when you blow them out you damage and put holes even if don't see then fine dirt going into your engine, unless reusable like K&N.

Cost of a new engine? About the same as another truck.

Cost of a NEW air filter? About the same as your lunch (or dinner.)
