I'm still making calls and looking. It seems as if the magical 6 months of OTR is whats closing the doors. I need to stay regional and that also is stopping me. I know it's a insurance thing but wow what a catch 22. If they could promise me to be regional after a month of OTR that would be fine but the ones that said it might work will not commit to the regional rout after the month. All I relay need is to be home once or twice a week.

My husband is also an ex-carpenter.
When we lived in the central California area Heartland Express was able to get my husband home most weekends for maybe only 1 day but still it was nice to see him most weekends.
The closest terminal to you would be in Phoenix Arizona.
I'm not sure how much otr experience they need to hire.
Good luck.
