Ever run into the World Wrestling Federation trucks? They are pretty snappy too.

saw one of the Busch car trucks, pulled over in MS getting a high performace award last year on I-20. Guess the MHP wasn't a race fan. I'm still looking for my doors, they got blown off so bad.

Saw one of the WWE trucks the other day going up Rt. 17 in VA. Think it may have been a merch. truck though, it was all by it's lonesome self. Normally the show trucks run together in a group of at least 4-5.

Has anyone seen that Werner truck which the ridiculously long nose, and 'V16 Detroit' painted on the side of it? It's a Classic, in typical Werner blue, but obviously not an everyday company truck. I've been told it's used to haul a dragster for some Werner racing team, yet I seem to recall that the trailer it pulled seemed rather high off the ground for something of that sort?

seen it, marine V16 18sp yes it has their dragster in it LAST years model, they use it for promo stuff, hat's and t-shirts

their driver said it cost like $300k to make, they used a cement mixer frame (only one that wouldn't twist with that V16) they also made the sleeper longer because it looked funny with that long a$$ hood. driver said ON PAPER it should do about 155mph...! he said he's never had it over 95.

if i can find the pic when we get back to our truck (it's in volvo again) i will post it

if you ever hear it you will never forget that sound, more like an indy car than a truck

Only super cool people get to haul those cars....

...I actually have an F1 in my trailer as I speak. No joke. Pics to come after I unload it.

Like I said, only SUPER cool people

It's like anything else in NASCAR. You have to know someone to get your foot in the door.

In my personal opinion that's what's wrong with NASCAR today. They have got to start looking outside their inbred families and look for new talent in a parts of their operation.

I tried to get a job as a hauler driver a few years ago with no luck. I guarantee you there aren't many drivers with my safety record and years behind the wheel, as well as knowledge of racing that I have. I used to race and build cars. But because I wasn't related to someone or have the last name Petty, or Earnhardt I wasn't given the time of day.

There was a lady recruiting drivers (o/o's) a while back. She was from kalamazoo, MI. Its salaried (for the o/o compensation wise) and requires a lot of being on time for test and tunes, appearances, and of course, races.

That is so BS dollar. Dad had a couple of shots with Nascar but chose not to move to Charlotte or Hueytown. The Allisons wanted him to start building their engine's full time after Bobby and my grandfather swapped cars one day. They shared all kinds of tips with one another, Bobby shared a setup that was banned at Grand National events but still legal at local tracks not hosting a Grand National event that night or day. Dad also had a chance with Denny Hamlin's current spotter, Curtis Markham when he made it to the Busch level. Worked with Earnhardt's pit crew one night at I believe Southside Speedway in VA. Childress wanted to get them some practice in before the race the next day at the Richmond Fairgrounds so they asked my grandfather if they could pit the car that night. Couple of the crew asked my dad if he wanted a job with them in the big leagues, they would put in a good word with Richard but he would have to move to NC. Also had the chance to go with what is today, Racing Electronics doing team radios at the track each week. Dad didn't want to move and didn't want to be gone from home so much so he chose not to take any of the offers. He was building engine's that would rival Junior Johnson one's. Bobby could not believe how strong the engine's were when he drove the car and he used to drive Junior Johnson engine's.

If you've got the skills, they will find you. Buddy from High School is the tire specialist on David Ragan's Cup car. He knew nothing of Nascar in High School, could have cared less. Now he's making $80K a year to look at tires as they come off the car.
