How long does a nomal doesage last in your body? Im feel like crap, but I dont want to be the lucky one that gets a random drug test at school. Or does anyone have any better options for the standard cold / flu type crap ola

Depends on the person for how long it lasts. The affects last me about 10-12 hours and I'm 180 lbs taking 2 Tablespoons just once before I go to bed. As far as showing in my bloodstream, I have no idea.

Nyquil has alcohol in it.

You're better off to suffer with the cold symptoms than jeopardize your career by taking it.

Man, take DayQuil if you have to take anything. I take NyQuil not for cold symptoms, but usually if I'm over tired and can't fall asleep. (And not working the next day.) That stuff is potent.

Take Nyquil and get some rest and start feeling better. It does not have anything in it that affects a drug test and the alcohol content will not be an issue if you take it at night before you go to bed.

I think what I will do is take NyQuil and let our instructors know in the am. If they have a problem with it I can sit the day out, but it will be there call. Half of our class is sick and this morning it hit me. Friday I could back like there was no tomarrow - today I couldnt do alley docks w/out a pull up to save my life. Time to go to sleep!

I need 10-12 hrs after taking Nyquil. I need like 10 hrs of sleep to feel good after taking it. It does work though, and I use it rarely when I need to and am shut down.

Try DayQuill instead

NyQuil, the sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, how the @#$% did I wind up on the kitchen floor medicine!! :lol: That stuff is POTENT if you just slug it outa the bottle, but DAMM it works!!

The simplest solution is to take the Non-alcoholic version of Nyquil. Then there is nothing that will show up on any drug or alcohol screening test.

I know that recently a friends son-in-law took too much Nyquil which resulted in a complete "shutdown" of his kidneys....renal failure, which caused him to bloat rather severly with much pain...which landed him in the hospital for several days and netted him one helluva hospital bill.

If you are going to use the stuff...buy the non-alcohol variety, read the label and follow the directions. Or just use "Dayquil".
