It might just be legit......................after all, they have braille on the drive up atm machines.

DaveP 07-08-2007 10:04 PM

he didn't say he was driving...it's possible a spouse is and he's riding along as a "co-pilot".

Nuttin' wrong with that!

vvax 07-08-2007 10:10 PM

It was just A bad joke Dave.I figured some of the experienced drivers on
here would say I must work for Swift(another bad joke).

I guess the original post was pulled by the judges @ last comic standing.
I can understand that.

Well.... I'm not sure "I" can! I missed the original post or thread, apparently.

Perhaps, a mod would enlighten me as to what was said, IF and WHY it was "pulled," and OTHER such "mundane" particulars.

Of course, they are under NO obligation to do so!

I'm just curious.

One thing I could never understand was handicapped parking at a t/s for a big rig. I did see one driver with a metal leg once. But still, I can't imagine a truck driver with a wheel chair trying to get out.

   I had just woke up and read the post and I tried to move it to the comedy section. I hit the delete key by mistake. I guess I should wait til my eyes are in focus before I try to preform magic :P .
I can make them vanish but I can't make 'um come back :? .

Actually after reading some of the replies, this thread does have SOME merit.

Post get deleted on this board. The sky is blue, the grass is green, water is wet, post get deleted.

Thank you Ridge! We are ALL human, and I feel your pain, old man!

There certainly ARE handicapped Truckers, like all other walks of life. and there is a law that affords them the opportunity to do so!

MOST are probably in the range of "COPD" or other breathing diseases. It's a long walk from the last pump at some truckstops! I have no problem with having a FEW spots up close for these people to park.

It IS interesting how many ATM machines are braille equipped! And OTHER things, too. But, this is a good thing in our society! [Brought to you, probably, by Democrats! ]

My personal opinion is this: Even if vvax made a "bad joke" does that mean the thread was a candidate for the comedy section? As I said, I didn't get a chance to read it, so I don't know.

If he/she made a "funny comment" about the disabled, I think it WOULD have been addressed by the forum membership, and dealt with accordingly. In a way, we police our own to a limit. When it CROSSES that limit, it should be addressed by a MOD. Of course, you were only trying to MOVE it. No harm, no foul!

Thanks again for your candor, Ridge! But, next time, drink a few cups of Joe before you get near those "admin" privileges! And PLEASE tell me you're not driving a "rig" under those sleepy conditions!
