In Texas if you operate intrastate the old HOS can be used, 15/10 rule, but either way, he was was over the limit.

Today I didnt go in to work and they have been calling me, I figure that ima return the favor since they never called me when things changed and I show up to the yard 5hrs early, or my 800mile load got switched to 300miles on two different occasions. Im tellin u Im thinkin of jus quittin this trucking bussiness, and go to my local bank with a letter hahah.

So 17hrs? Thats illegal and if you let them run you like that, its time to put an end to it. If something happens such as an accident or something with a fatality involved, big trouble for you when DOT checks your logs. Don't let a company like that ruin your chance of driving. Go with someone else, there are alot of good companies out there. I almost let the same thing happen to me but I went with another company and everything worked out for me in the end.
