boots, slush, grease, oil, wet. what are your opionons?
 

OK, I'm old, give me a break. I know from last time I'll be the guy parking a mile from the truck stop cafe, so I don't risk running over another truck. Don't laugh, I saw a guy in a SWIFT truck miss a turn so bad at a TA, he got excited, tried to keep going and literally took off the whole driver side front fender of a parked tractor. CLIMBED RIGHT OVER THE FRONT WHEEL OF THE OTHER GUYS TRACTOR. It was in Denver. and the fool tried to run for it with cameras and about 100 parked drivers.

Anyway, boots, walking the length of TA or Flying J parking lots in slush and such. Whats your druthers. I've always got along well with wolverine, thinking of trying danners, but at near $200 a crack!!! :shock:

Any good brands that are waterproof slip resistant comfy AND CHEAP!

I bought my work boots from Wal Mart and have been perfectly happy with them. They were insulated but not water proof, but I treated them with some waterproofer and my feet stay plenty warm and dry.

I've got Blundstones, $200 bucks but worth it.

Redwing 2264. Good looking boot, 8" upper with steel toe. I have been using them for years. They are comfortable. They do not stand up to bluing salts. No boot does.

I wear Keens and I love them. Comfortable and waterproof.

Look at some Rocky thinsulate work boots. I work on the wet end of a paper mill which means boots are wet 90% of the time but my feet stay dry. I have waded in pulp and water ankle deep with no leaks.
If you are in a lot of wet stuff,mud snow ect look at some firemen rubber boots. They give those to us at work and they are insulated and while I havent had them in a lot of cold I do sometimes have to walk in spilled pulp that is 180 degrees and you only feel a liitle warm on your feet never hot. My last day to work is DEC 8 and those boots are coming with me.

I've got a nice pair of redwings with one of the highest slip resistant ratings. They work really well! Even with the ware they don't even leak (steel toes are even exposed)
