I am looking for a company that have great insurance(I have a family of 3), great equipment, great miles, good money, and good home time. I have talked to all these companies about three or more times, but still cannot decide on which one to go with.

I was in the military for 4 years and hauled my on equipment on flatbeds and like it(but I know that the exper. don't transfer). I have talked to a Maverick employee(wonderman) and He loves Maverick. But would like to talk to someone that works for the other 3 companies to see how it compares to maverick. Any info would be great. Thanks for your time. :?

I believe we did a job fair at Chatt State about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Did you speak with Jake or Lyle at the US Xpress tent? We are close to your home, which makes for easy home time. Also you would have the option for the local in Tunnell Hill after about 6 months.

Just a thought. Ask Don Hunt over the training school about us. He loves us since we gave him that new Volvo 780 for you guys' school.

OK Down to 2 Companies, TMC and Maverick. Anyone have anything?

There is a ton of info on TMC and some on Maverick on the What about this company board. Both TMC and Maverick are a good place to get a start. You have to see which one fits with you better. TMC has nicer equipment and better insurance. Maverick pays better during training. Both get you home most weekends and have really good training.TMC is percentage pay or CPM and Maverick is CPM.

Falcon

Call Falcon. Flatbed.
I've got almost six months with them and they get me home every weekend and I average about 1 k a week.
Some times I get home once a week.
Also have 3 insurance programs to choose from.
Not the fanciest stuff but a good starter.
Basic is a good way to descibe it.
I started in a 2000 , 590k truck and now drive a 05 with 190k.
Training wasn't to hot but you may get a better trainer.
Get to pick runs a lot of times.
Two months and I got on a dedicated mostly.
terminal showers are bad, lol.
A paid motel room once a week though.
They pay for showers and reimberse for stuff.
Terminal in T.N.
Call them at least.

You can call me at TMC this coming week and I'll be happy to answer your questions. If you like, my cell # and email address are also on my web site below.

One thing that I have seen posted about Maveric on another forum recently is that during orientation you are required to lift 140 pounds. The examiner keeps adding weight to the bucket and you have to lift it onto the trailer. If you can only lift 130 pounds you are out of luck and sent home. I do know know how accurate that is, but if I read it on the internet twice then it must be true.
