I am a recent graduate of CDL school. After many applications I have two invitations for orientation. One at Roehl and one at Schneider. I like Roehl because it has better hometime than Schneider, but I would like to go with a company I can stay with long enough to get the experience I need. Does anyone have opinions of these companies? thanks

Schneider - dry van, bulk
Roehl - Dry van, flat, curtainside
Both "starter" companies. The one suiting your needs best is where you should go. Would help to know what part if the country you're in. BOL

i am new to the industry as well, but what i have found is:
schneider
pays shortest distance between A & B
can take tractor/ trailer home
Hazmat = yes
roehl
pays practical miles
can only take tractor/ trailer home if in certain division
Hazmat = not required
i also agree with Sealord
also be sure to check if your driving school is an approved school with the carrier you plan to drive for! believe it or not, there are many carriers out there that do not recognize some driving schools! :!:
