I have several "perfect" spots within walking distance of my home... king and chinook salmon, steelhead, rainbow, brown, brook and lake trout.
Biggest king salmon I caught just outside my door, was 46 lbs.
Maybe it was 44 lbs....they do get bigger with time, anyway it was a huge center piece on the dinner table. Fed a small village that night.
Some of us have back yard fish smokers. Mine is made from an old refrigerator.

The lakes are about to freeze, and we will be putting our fish shanty's out.
I'm not putting mine out this winter, as I'm battling an illness (winning BTW) but hope to next winter.
I like to spear fish Pike and Muskie's, or set up to fish Walleye's and Perch.

There's a "stray" in the local pound right NOW that would love to share your "freedom."

You could be "good" for each other. You could even name him "Hobo."

Just think how much fun it would be to yell... RUN, Hobo! Fetch, Hobo! Heel, Kneel, Sit Hobo!

Oh never mind... You could NEVER say, "Good Boyyyy... Hobo!"

Better name him "Butch" or.... "robertt" or something conservative like that. [Oh, wait... Boehner! (I'll leave the pronunciation up to you.)]

That would avoid having to praise him for anything, anyway.

Of course... you might adopt a female retriever [AKA: "golddigging Beyotch"] and name her "TlTS."

I would love to get another dog, but until I get healthy again, I can barely care for myself.
Been battling this illness going on 4 years now... and lately I'm in pain 24/7. (nuf said aboot that,eh)
But the doc tells me this time the meds are working. I hope I can recover well enough to go fishing.
Hunting is out though... well... I still love to hunt spiders.
