Yeah it was a little rough last night in the Buckeye. Ice buildup was so thick my drivers side wiper snapped off.

Yep!! My wife has been in the hospital for about a week. She just got home today. Were it not for that, I would probably be stuck in the middle of this stuff. I plan on hanging out for at least a couple of days with her. I may not get out until the first of next week.

You need to call up your dispatcher and demand that they allow you to run. Tell him that you are a professional and demand to be treated as such! Tell him that you refuse to be shut down at home. Demand that he allow you to go to a truck stop and then shut down.

GMAN, hope your wife's ok. A week at home with you she'll be ready to either go back to the hospital or kick you out on the road!
Yeah, Ill be sure to do that...next time! I'm havin fun here at home, I cleaned my gun room earlier and just loaded up 500 .45acp . Now I'm going to see whats on tv on a week night!

Fun day - damn... Delivered in Wheeling, then deadheaded to Lima. Just northwest of Marysville it started icing up the truck. Got to Lima to pick up my trailer and ran into problems. I couldn't see where the edge of the parking lot was and dropped a steer off of it - maybe 6-7" drop. Took a towtruck to get me out. So, after I swapped trailers, I drove 1/2 mile and parked for the night. I just hope I can sleep - the snow/ice/sleet is LOUD hitting the truck.

I appreciate it, repete. It has been a bit tough for her the last couple of months. She has had 10 hospital visits since the first week in December. Hopefully, this will be the last time for quite a while. You are probably right about her kicking me out.

I have been doing some taxes and getting paperwork filed while I have been off with her. At least I accomplished something.

Suck it up, Malaki. Real drivers don't need to see the road. They are ONE with the asphalt. They feel the road without having to see it.

Seriously, I am glad that you are off the road. Your truck may pick up a couple thousand pounds of ice before this is over.

Gman, you and your wife are in my prayers tonight. Here is west central Arkansas it's COLD!! We didn't get that much snow and just a little sleet but northwest Arkansas got socked pretty hard.
