Uncle Jon 03-28-2016 03:26 PM

Just wanted to say hi.
I was "Uncle Jon" to the children of the African Children's Choir when I drove their tour bus last fall.
Was trucking for 34 years before that gig and have now hung up the keys and am enjoying my new career selling and installing CCTV systems.
I'm rather opinionated but still try to love my enemies!

Hello,
My name is Scott Sharkey. I drive for Martin Brower and deliver McDonald's products to stores. Enjoy the job and plan on retiring with the company. Favorite things to do are gardening, listening to mindfulness videos and promoting my website. Truck driving is a childhood dream. I just had my second grandchild about 2 weeks ago. She is a beautiful girl named Rose Judith Sharkey. Looking forward to Spring so I can start my first vegetable garden. I already have fruit trees-apples,peaches,cherries,plums, blueberries and an almond tree. I plan on spending a little time reading and posting on this forum on my days off.

Scott

Interstate Bookkeeping 05-24-2016 03:09 AM

My name is Marty. I have been a bookkeeper for approximately 47 years and drove truck for 4 1/2 years with my husband. I understand how difficult it can be to get any extra work done while on the truck. Even with all my experience, when we were driving, I was not able to keep up with the paperwork. I realized how important it is to do paperwork correctly, when IRS said we owed them $110,000.00. We had all our paperwork in order and ended up owing $300.00. We would not have had to pay that, but alot of the receipts had erased themselves.
I want to help truck drivers have everything in order by taking the bookkeeping problem off your hands so your attention can be on driving. How it works is you will talk and find out where your at as far as your books go. I will them get you set up an you just send me your receipts in our postage paid envolope every month. All the work is on me.

You all be safe out there an talk with you soon..

Hey all. This is Jesse Archer. I am new to trucking. I still need to obtain my CDL permit and DOT physical, but after that, hopefully I will be going to a company that will train me and help with my license. I have already talked with Swift. I know I will have to fulfill a contract, but it will be worth it. Thank you

What is your favourite pet?

Hi guys!

I know it might sound silly, but what is truckers' favorite pet? At the moment I'm working on a mobile application dedicated for truck drivers and I'm looking for inspiration :) It will be great to come up with an idea for the truckers' mascot.

Thanks!

Hey all. I've been an owner operator since 1990. I started with a mechanical Cat 425hp in a 1990 Volvo, then went to a 1994 Western Star with a 425hp PEEC Cat, then to a 2000 Peterbilt with a C12 Cat 430hp that I kept for 14 years and then to a 2013 Freightliner Cascadia with the DD15 Detroit 505hp. I got tired of check engine lights and getting shut down with no solution from Freightliner on how to fix it so I sold the Freightliner and went back to a pre-emission truck, a 1999 International 9400 with an n14 cummins. I love the old trucks and even more I love the fact that I can fix almost anything and if I get stumped on a problem forums like this one can be incredibly helpful. Keep on trucking :D
