I stumbled across this forum while surfing the internet for a moving company to move my few belongings across the US. I thought I would have a nervous break down after filling out a search in a broker's web site. Quotes in such a wide range and none realistic for the small amount of goods I have. So I paid more storage rent and sit here on the east coast twiddling my thumbs of not knowing where to find a decent trustworthy hauler. I am 56 soon to be divorced again, living with my Daughter and her kids. I am now disabled, worked myself to near death, had a heart attack, and presently stuck indoors with pneaumonia. I have to save up from my disability check each month to pay to get my goods shipped. But when I explain that I do not have a set move date, oh the excuses I get pushed at me. Some to make a deposit, but without having a guarantee of the final cost. I am open to any suggestions or ideas on how to make my upcoming move easier. My Son lives where I am moving to so no rush on getting anything there. I can move all into a corner of my Daughter's garage till I find a way to get it moved. Out of about 15 moving companies they were all in a hurry, when I am not. Any suggestions ANYONE? Cheryl in NC

My husband and I have been in the trucking industry for about 3 years. We were introduced to the trucking industry by my husband's best friend.

We are looking for someone who is no longer using their MC Authority and is willing to transfer it. Must be in good standing. Please contact us to discuss.

Just get your own. I have yet to have someone give me grief over new authority. Insurance is based on your cdl and how long you've had it.

Hello my name is John I have been a bed bugger for over 18 yrs went in to fright about two yrs ago and started training new drivers. Man what a ride that was but I am happy to say all of them turn out really good and are very safe drivers. Now I went back to the industry that I know and love, I went to the company I was with for 10 years to recruit drivers. I took the job to make a difference in recruiting and to help drivers become successful O/O in this industry. Man this is a bigger ride I love it!!!

Like any profession it takes time to learn and experience will come in time. One of my good friends and partners was a policeman and changed his career now owner of trucking:) He fills me in on whats on the road.
Best of trucking to you.

My name is Aaron, I start school this week, I'm 25, wife and 2 kids (girl 3 and boy 4)
I've always been interested in driving and now seemed to be a good time to tackle it. I was active duty Air Force for 5years3Months as a Telecomm Cable and Antenna Tech (2E6X2/3D1X7) and loved it, now i'm in the Air Guard as a Power Lineman (3E0X1). Went to Afghanistan twice, 6 months the first time year the second. I look forward to getting to know the road and fellow truckers. I'm here to learn so please instill knowledge in me and bear with my lack of it in this field.
