CAD bumper stickers

Okay folks, we're working on coming up with an official CAD bumper sticker. We'd like some input on what you'd like to see on it. Jumbo had suggested having a spot to write your user name, so the first designs I came up with include this.

What would you like to see included on a CAD bumper sticker?

dobry4u 09-10-2009 03:05 AM

How about

CAD Member

We need to develop a secret handshake!!!

Jumbo 09-10-2009 03:32 AM

I am thinking a round sticker about 4-5" across, Something that could be put on a wing window or corner of a windshield. Maybe a standout color that could be easily seen. I realize CAD is blue and white so maybe blue with white letters.

Mr. Ford95 09-10-2009 08:35 PM

If you just put CAD on it, those of us here will know what it means and be calling on the CB. If we go writing our names on the sticker, how are we supposed to see that name from a distance of say across the median? Something of decent size lettering that simply spots CAD should work.

JewelsnTools 09-10-2009 08:47 PM

I'm glad to see that there's momentum building on this!
However, being the dyed-in-the-wool company driver that I am (I know. I'm a punk!), I can't affix any "personalizing emblems" to my vehicle. A bumper sticker would have to be stuck on, right? I'm not free to do that.
I'm holding out for my huge, gaudy sunshade with CAD MEMBER emblazoned across it!!
Jewels
P.S., Would it be copyright infringement if I were to make myself a ROMAN SHIELD-sized, rhinestone-encrusted belt buckle with the letters done in red, white, and blue?? :)

Get one of those magnetic thingys and put the sticker on that. Or go work for CRE, and then you can buy your company truck.

Mr. Ford95 09-10-2009 10:55 PM

Jewels, tape it to a window that doesn't hinder your line of sight instead of actually "sticking it" on the side of the truck.

Syncrosonix 09-10-2009 10:55 PM

"i, syncrosonix, most likely rick roll'd you!"

yeah, i can see that going over real well somewhere, waking up to a set of slashed tires, and possibly a turd on the steps, and even a bag of flaming dog crap.

Yours will be twice the size, and you have to put one on all 4 sides of the truck. It's in the FMCSA regs. Look it up.

BTW, these are the first ones I mocked up, before I started this thread:

JewelsnTools 09-11-2009 12:38 AM

Those are great!! I want one!!
Thank you, Your Rev-ness, for setting before me the choice between life(magnetic thingy) and Death (getting fleeced by CRE). I choose life. I'd also like another little green square since I've now been "sticky-d". Thank you.

Since I do have 1/4 Appalachian RedNeck (which would make me a "Maroon Neck"), I can totally see the logic in TAPING a STICKY to my truck, MrFord!!! :)

I want one that says, "I broke Ridge's bottle!"
Jewels
P.S., Yes, I'm still distressed each time I see that sacrilege...

Fredog 09-11-2009 12:59 AM

I think you should add,, " Dont worry, I'm not Rev"

Sorry, I already made them. They arent Roman Shield size but I do have them the size of the hubcap off of a 74 Cadilac ElDorado if that works for you.

dobry4u 09-11-2009 02:46 AM

I like 'em, Rev!

golfhobo 09-11-2009 04:27 AM

Well.... "I" can't use THAT one! On BOTH accounts! :lol2:

While you're working on getting these printed I have a good stock of "Steve Booth Fan Club" stickers that would also identify CAD members.

jagerbomber3.0 09-11-2009 02:07 PM

CAD
PM/Lube Job- $249.00
In Frame Rebuild- $15,000.00
Buying A truck with no experience and having your name on the door-Priceless

I'm sure you do, since only a fool would want those. It's a safe bet you're not going to run out any time soon.

I vote for both of the top 2, the white one for dark trucks and the black one for light color trucks, OR how about a transparent background

Jumbo, you read my mind! Yes, I'd like two-one for dress up, and one for casual! You are my hero!

This is hilarious! It's kind of exciting to think that, someday soon, we'll be able to identify one another and spend a few minutes laughing together and lying to each other in person!! I can't wait!

I'd like one with transparent background, too. Well, I guess that would be more on the window sticky, not the bumper sticker.

Please keep us posted! Where would we be able to buy them? Will we be able to order them on the internet? Or will it be at the truck shows??

It would be nice if, as it continues to grow, we could post our "sightings" on the other thread.
I really like it here. Hope I don't get banned! :)

Ridge Runner 09-12-2009 04:14 PM

You know what I think would be cool besides a "real" CAD sticker. Just a plan 4" to 6" square sticker with G-Man's avatar on it. Imagine what others would be thinking when he/she starts seeing these things popping-up on trucks across the country. ( What are those stickers, what am I missing??? )

When I worked in law enforcement there was an "inside joke" sticker like this. It was a small bumper sticker with just a thin blue line across it. Nobody got it but us. Of course over time "others" became aware of its' meaning.

I've tried to find a site for clear background decals, but haven't had any luck yet.

None of those places offers single sticker ordering or shop setup like Cafe Press. So unless someone is going to pay for a large quantity of them and mail them to everyone, they wouldn't work. And unfortunately, Cafe Press doesn't offer clear decals, and I haven't found an online site yet that does.

GMAN 09-13-2009 12:41 AM

I didn't realize that you were talking about ordering them one at a time. Perhaps there is a way that the layout could be downloaded and printed on their own printer?

The ink wouldn't last in the elements. Bumper stickers have a UV coating over them, to keep them from fading.

If you're willing to fork out the $350 to buy 500 of them (the minimum order) and the postage to ship them out, then by all means we can do it the other way!
