Kat is fine. She training now. Posts lot on facebook. I am glad I was there in summer its beautiful! There are some roads and passes I wouldn't want to see in winter. From Banff west to Kamloops TC1 is two lanes and a bit twisty. Glad I got to go though.

My jedi mind trick worked!

AWESOME, EXCELLENT MEETING WITH A CAD MEMBER!!!
When I was driving, I was always FLOORED by the caliber of the people I had the HONOR of interacting with, out there. While there are some pretty rough characters holding steering wheels, I often wondered why the motoring public had such a lousy perception of these hard-working professionals who impacted their daily lives in such crucial ways.
Recently, I got to sit down and share a steak dinner with Uhoh, who'd been posting about his wish to find a co-driver, in another thread. I swear there was an almost audible hum around this man! Upbeat, funny, cool, open, and amazingly balanced for a person of his very young years! (Gotcha, Uhoh!)
As a career "company driver," it was REFRESHING to hear about the industry from an Owner Operator perspective. Very insightful, very communicative, and reassuringly real about the day-to-day realities faced. THANK YOU, Uhoh, FOR THAT.
He was nothing like I thought he'd be, but so much of what I would have hoped, if I'd had the courage!
If you ever read this, THANK YOU FOR A FANTASTICALLY FUN MEETING, Uhoh! Next steak is on us! :)
