Although I detest some of the things this man has done in the past and some of the things he believed in as far as the role of our Government should play.... I am sad that a man has died. He leaves behind a family, that I am sure loved him, and he, them. With the exception of a few "death row" inmates, I can express NO joy in the death of someone. Although I differ greatly with his views on many subjects, I wish him to R.I.P.. He, as we all will, will have to answer to a higher power.

Just my .02,

Ridge

Although I won’t cheer and trumpet the man’s death, I will flatly state that I will shed not a tear for him. As far as I’m concerned, the man is/was evil to the core. His politics were so far liberal as to be scary; his actions nearly always smacked of self-preservation and ego-building, and he was never interested in the well-being of America, only in building his own power and getting his own pet projects pushed through regardless of the outcome to the common man or to the nation as a whole. He’s one of those men that put the ‘bad’ in politics. And don’t give me the talking points of what ‘good’ things he did. His few ‘good’ deeds were far outweighed by volumes and volumes of bad, regardless of what anyone says or thinks. That’d be like saying Charles Manson is a really great guy because he helped a little old lady across the street when he was 12.

While I have a modicum of pity for the family for the loss of their loved one, my own thoughts are that a dangerous man has been removed from a position of ultimate power that he held far, far too long. And that is something I am happy about, though I would rather have seen him removed long ago by conventional means – voting him out. However, since his constituency didn’t have the balls to do so and we haven’t gotten smart or strong enough as voters to force term limits, nature has done it for them.

And from a purely religious point of view, I hope he has to face Mary Jo before hell throws open the gates to welcome him.

Now before GolfHobo chimes in to castigate me for my coldness, allow me to briefly state that while I am not cheering his death, my feelings are justified, they are my opinions and in America, I’m still free to state them. At least for the moment. :moon:

UPDATE: Mary Jo Kapeckne still dead too.

Look folks, let's put politics aside. The bottom line is here was a man who couldn't figure out where and how to find a phone when he got in a car wreck that resulted in the drowning of his passenger, yet he wanted to be in charge of our health care.

No Thanks!!

It was that pesky BAC thing…had to get that down to acceptable levels.

And of course, it’s always fun to watch the Teddy apologists kick Mary Jo under the couch, so they can espouse this ‘great’ man. :puke: Every liberal rag and website in the world is infested with them right now.

APOLOGISTS??? C'mon TF! You're treading on a CFM/Belpre trademark there! LOL You are more than welcome to it, Sir!

I sure as hell miss you as the best ever Moderator on this board TF! No doubt about that!

That said. I sure am enjoying your new found ability to speak your mind. Rock and Roll Mike!

Might I say before you embark upon your new status as CAD rabble rouser? Welcome old friend. Nothing like some old fresh blood in the mix.

It shouldn't be long before we can get you fixed up with a 3 day ban Mike! LOL

Welcome back buddy. Hope that all is well on that end. And yes......I also hope that the first thing that filthy Teddy found in the afterlife was Mary Jo. He was such a ****ing coward!

Don’t be fooled…I still have my keys to the executive washroom. I’m just not in a position where I can hit the board very much at all.

Eh…I’m not skeered. So I make Hobo mad. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Ain’t fresh anymore. I’m downright middle aged these days and it shows. I hate people more today than I did a few years ago.

Pshaw....that’s amateur status. ;) I'm all about getting inducted into the Steve Booth Hall of Fame.

Welcome back buddy. Hope that all is well on that end.
It is…life is just loads busier and not likely to settle down for another decade or so.

And yes......I also hope that the first thing that filthy Teddy found in the afterlife was Mary Jo. He was such a ****ing coward!
Well, at least Hobo will have more than one target now.

Again, I’m sorry for his family and I’m not going to cheer that he’s gone, but the country is a little better and little safer with him silenced. Now, as long as they don’t stick another far-left wacko in his senate seat to pick up where he left off destroying this country, that’d be an improvement. Hell, I’d take a moderate leftie over what he was. Wonder who is going to take over leading Obama around by the ring in his nose now?

Blacksheep 08-26-2009 10:57 AM

This country is better off now that this asshat has checked out, wont miss this idiot.

No one should suffer from brain cancer. Has any Kennedy ever died from natural causes?

The last I checked, cancer was a natural cause.

The sole survivor of the S.S. Chappaquidick.....

ironeagle_2006 08-27-2009 06:21 AM

Here is what I hope his Torture is in Hell. Lying upside down in a car for Eternity as it fills up with water and as he gasps his last breath the water drains and starts all over again. Also I will not shed a tear for that POS to me he is even worse than a CHILD MOLESTOR.

It's not your temperature that I worry about. And I'm not sure that I will waste my time on your post. It is filled with far too many inconsistencies, fallacies and malevolence. Your "modicum of pity" for his family, might engender a response that would require a comparison to your OWN.... and that could get me banned again (though it would not be PERSONAL but only for illustration.)

But, perhaps you could list for me some of the "evil" things you claim he has done. You don't have to rant on about Chappaquiddick. I'm well aware of that one. But.... I must have missed some of the others.

I see you've never READ the Bible, especially the Ten Comandments.... nor do you KNOW the Spirit that inspired it. I hope you don't actually CALL yourself a Christian... because your post is an insult and embarrasment to those who ARE.

ironeagle_2006 08-29-2009 12:36 AM

Fine then how can you support someone that LEFT A WOMAN IN A CAR UPSIDE DOWN TO DIE. BTW SHE DIED NOT FROM DROWNING BUT SHE DID FROM ASPHYACTION. She found an air pocket in the car and was alive for about 2 hours afterwards while OLDE DRUNKEN TEDDY BOY SLEPT OFF HIS WHISKEY SO HE WOULD NOT BE CHARGED WITH MURDER.

Hawkjr 08-29-2009 02:14 AM

Damn.. I bet if one of you guys was rolling down the Mass Pike this morning you would of been sure as happy to see electronic message board read "Mass Thanks You For Everything Ted"

East and Westbound!!

Among other things he helped push through the bill which saddled the cost of the "Big Dig" in Boston. For those of you who may not be familiar with this project, it involves putting part of the interstate in Boston underground rather than on top as with most interstates. Rather than Massachusetts funding it he helped the U.S. taxpayers to fund it. This project has been the subject of numerous investigations and accusations of fraud and cost overruns from the beginning.

Something that I just realized, a bit ago. WE all owe Ted Kennedy a debt of gratitude, for passing away, when he did!!!

The news medi concentrated on his death so much, that they forgot to make a big deal about the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina!!!

Thank You Ted!!

And I hardly heard too much about Michael Jackson either.

I see there is a story out now about Kennedy expressing remorse in his memoirs about the death of Mary Jo.

Kennedy Memoir Reveals Remorse Over Fatal Chappaquiddick Crash - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum - FOXNews.com

What a complete and total scumbag. Glide through 40 years of your life with no punishment for killing a person and think that putting your ‘remorse’ down in a book will fix it. I challenge ANYONE here to ignore that single aspect of his life and talk about whatever ‘good’ you think he has done…you know, like deregulation, adultery, drunken debauchery, same-sex marriage (evil to me, but I concede that it’s subjective), partial birth abortions (no one with any morals at all can deny this is as evil and vile as you can get), etc. Going back to 1969, everyone here knows that if it was you or I in that car, we’d be serving long term jail time for a charge of AT THE VERY LEAST, negligent homicide. I read an article on that whole thing a number of years back and the fact that he left her to die would more than likely pick up a 2nd degree murder charge today.

What sickens me most right now is listening to the pathetic whining and blubbering from people in the media and without, that think we’ve lost a ‘great’ leader. :puke: How anyone can defend that P.O.S. is absolutely beyond me, but it really shows how far this country has fallen.

ironeagle_2006 09-03-2009 01:28 AM

Same here. Old DEAD TED is Lying here more than he did throughout HIS STINKING LIFE. He was not a GOOD MAN. What he did through his life would Almost make Clinton look Good. He cheated on his wife was such a drunk HOW IN THE HELL did the IDIOTS in MA keep sending him back to the Senate. I know they like his LAST NAME. Ted Kennedy history will show was nothing BUT AN *****HOLE OF THE WORST DEGREE.

I just think it was awesome that he was able to divert attention away from Hurricane Katrina...and like the Scoe-meister said.....Mike "I wanna be white" Jackson!!

Ted Kennedy. The only Kennedy nobody wanted to waste a bullet on. =)

ironeagle_2006 09-03-2009 11:46 PM

IIRC Dennis leary said it BEST Ted Kennedy Bad Senator and an EVEN WORSE DATE. He meaning Leary wondered why no one took a shot at Ted. He was like you could fire a Shot from the Top of the Empire State Building and hit Ted in the ASS in the Kennedy Compund as Ted has become Jabba the Hutt.
