Actually, the FIRST one that got me pregnant wax like that girl in the movie "An Officer and an Gentleman." She was on the pill for over a year or more that we were together. When I got my orders to go overseas, she got pregnant! :eek2:

When I didn't respond quickly enough about taking her with me, she opted for an abortion and dumped me for a "new recruit." A friggin Marine with EARRINGS! :hellno:

The second time was a "not so good" Catholic girl! I thought THEY were all on the pill! NOPE! Her idea of birth control was angels and supreme beings in heaven deciding WHO should get pregnant, and when! What was I thinking?

So, I tried to do the right thing... I married her! And I gotta tell ya.... the pain of having a child you don't get to raise is much more than the pain of having one aborted!

But, still.... sometimes I think it is better than living your life with a woman that you didn't REALLY want to spend your life with. I EARNESTLY hope that none of you know what I'm talking about!

And I tip my hat with TOTAL respect for those of you who ARE "fathers" on this "Father's Day weekend!"
