According to your plan, the industry should only run on newbie drivers??!? Get some experience and you can no longer drive because a company will not hire you? Sounds like the most backwards thing I ever heard in my life.

Gimme a break! I am grateful to have had a truckdriving job. For 4 years I didn't have to put up with any office backstabbing or factory floor backstabbing, politics, whatever you want to call it. I started driving because I had trouble getting along with people. I have trouble getting along with people because if I find something to be unfair, I will say it's unfair. If somebody's lying, I'll call them a liar to their face. These kinds of statements don't make you very popular with your coworkers. When I drive, it's me, my truck, the road, my dispatcher, the occasional shipper or receiver, or my wife on the phone, that's it.
MOST of us do this job because we have trouble fitting in to other job situations. That doesn't make us crazy or stupid.
