Got to what point? Everything has already been dealt with, and has been done so quite quickly. The OP is arguing the opposite what you are - saying that it is over-moderated.

The neat thing is, this isn't a democracy.:)

If BD represents some kind of conflict of interest for you then perhaps another moderator should step in and allow you to "excuse yourself" so to speak?
No conflict of interest. I've dealt with it the way I see fit.

I just prefer you as an entertaining poster who doesn't have to compromise himself now that he's a moderator. (I'm sure you'll dispute that one!)
I have already changed the way I've posted. I'm certainly posting a lot less. But since every one of my posts is a pearl of wisdom, they are all just as entertaining as they were before.

Just open discussion Rev. If you have a fault, it may be that you take issue with anyone who doesnt agree with you! I know this hard for you, but you dont have to always be right.
I know I don't always have to be right. But I can't help that I always am right. It's a curse. I know.

For those keeping score, so far I've:

- Been criticized and cut down for under moderating
- Been criticized and cut down for over moderating
- Been criticized and cut down for having the ability to moderate (I can thank golfhobo for that one)

Good times.

Golfhobo speaking about moderation?:booze:No way!
I will, however, speculate that Golfhobo has been spoken TO about moderation.:moon::banana2:

Big Diesel

at least he likes driving a truck.
He knows how to run a successful business....
He says he is married and since there is NO huge list of female friends I believe him.
There are my list of reasons I respect him above others.
Of course I left out the obvious he is a huge trash talker something I rather enjoy.

IMHO not that it is shared by all or any or that I give a shit.... Big D is bitter and does not sugarcoated at least he isn't a vindictive jerk or jerkess.

You know, that's actually really funny. On one side, I have people complaining that I've given BD a free pass, and that I'm playing favorites. On the other side, I have BD sending me several PM's ( uh two, you maybe decent speller, but math is not your strong suit ) calling me a hypocrite and telling me that I need to learn from Twilight Flyer et al. because I've been editing him so much. It seems that both sides aren't happy, and I'm stuck in the midd

Here is a perfect example of the modulator Rev being a hypocrite......... Many a time the modulator Rev has stated take it to PM..... So I followed the the rules and did so...... Now the modulator Rev essentially posts the contents of that PM in a open forum....... Now thats a hypocrite if I have ever seen one........

thereby bringing this thread full circle back to the original post in under 4 pages. :p :D

geeshock 01-02-2009 08:05 AM

I think the moderation of the boards is going well. You might be suprised at how hard it is to moderate a msg board. Choices ar eusualy not black and white, usualy they fall into a grey area and your choice to cut or keep will result in bad comments, eather way you go. Don't knock it till you are in the position yourself.

This is one of the few posts on this thread that has any form of intelligence.

This whole thread "stinks" of airing "personnel business" out in the open for all to see, which only continues to degrade CAD to all time lows.

There was a time when CAD truly was (key word) the best trucking internet forum on the www.

I have watched from the "sidelines", since just before the "big changeover", and have continued to watch, as it has turned into just another "Knitting Club", and to a certain degree...THE Knitting Club.

Damn near ever post in this thread is PM material, and although no real personnel attacks are occurring, you all are just airing your "dirty laundry" for all to see.

Remember, boys and girls,....."attack the post, not the poster".
