Well not to belittle your wifes missfortune ,but drinking with strangers is a dangerous practice ,as alcohol initself leaves you unable to judge your surroundings and makes you vulnerable things such as getting beat up/ugged/raped...even killed...But you don't need to be slipped GHB to be raped this can happen without being drugged with anything, and there are plenty of other substances that can switch hit for GHB ,or do you think GHB the only substance in the world that has such sedative abilities...Like i said the same can be achieved with Alcohol it just takes a bit more drinking , And finally it's not the substance that's to be blamed for what happened to your wife it's the person or persons that are to be blamed...plus like i said it's not a good idea to party with people you don't know .

Whether or not ironeagle's story is true, the fact remains that 73% of rape victims knew their assailant prior to being raped. GHB can be used in any drink - not just alcohol. Giving the tools to rapists to make their job easier is idiotic.

For the record, GHB is not illegal. It requires a prescription to get, and is classified as both a Schedule I drug and a Schedule III drug.

GHB is nothing special on it's own it needs very high doses or mixed with other drugs like alcohol to knock a person out ,and there are plenty of substances that can do this still avl OTC ...I find it funny you can talk about a substance without knowing even what it is , and I find it funny when people who get it slipped in with booze give all the credit to the GHB ,as if the synergism of alcohol played no part in the outcome.

Lyle Alzado's death was not steroid related he had a rare cancer that is in no way linked to Steroids...it is however linked to ...AIDS...but back in Lyles days AIDS was thought to be just for queers , which obviously it does not discriminate ,but that's not how it was viewd in Lyles day , So steroids took the blame .

Well GHB is not the only drug or substance that can sedate a person Alcohol can do it alone it just takes more drinking , and like I said there are plenty of other sedatives that will do as good or better a job than GHB ...And most of the time GHB is mixed with liqour to get this knock out effect because it cuts down on the amount of both GHB/liqour needed to get the job done ...plus if mixing GHB in water or a good tasting beverage the substance would probably be detected by the drinker ...But as far as "tools" for rape let us be real GHB is not the only substance used to sedate an individual ...you know this right ? ....and it's not legal to buy GHB OTC without prescription this would be illegal just like posessing any other prescription substance without a prescription , so it's a huge difference from when you could walk into a nutrition store and buy this substance OTC ...But if making the argument that the legislation against a substance is valid b/c an individual might use it to rape a person then how do stand with the legal availability of Alcohol or do you just think certain tools are bad ?
