Running amok

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Rev. references here on occasion, so it MUST be true!!!)

This article is about the amok behaviour and state of mind. For other potential meanings, see Amok (disambiguation).
Running amok, sometimes referred to as simply amok (also spelled amuck or amuk), is derived from the Malay/Indonesian/Filipino word amuk, meaning "mad with rage" (uncontrollable rage).
The word was in use in India during the British Empire, originally to describe an elephant gone mad, separated from its herd, running wild and causing devastation. The word was made popular by the colonial tales of Rudyard Kipling.

She does not have a Class A..... IIRC she stated she only has a " B ".....

Cool beans B Diesel. I guess that easily explains why she always claimed to have a Class A CDL and used it to "move around lowboys" and such for her job at the DOT.

Easy enough done....she can come on here and come clean.........or I'm gonna go find the references, and clean her up myself. It's really that simple. I'm gonna sleep on it for a while and if I don't see a retraction/apology from her when I wake up in a few. The investigation will begin in earnest.

Anything! Class A flat-beds, Dumps, salt shakers, heavy equipment. On days off I sometimes drive a para-transit bus for the Veterans Home.
I grew up on a farm, about the only thing on wheels I haven't driven/operated is a train.

I beg to differ.

So which is it Rebel Darlin? Keep dancing around the truth while I chase you down and call you out? Or please prove me wrong.....................

It really is that simple. Produce a Class A license and I take it all back and profusely apologize. Or, well you know what or means.

Looks like someone has some explaining to do! :eek1::bigangry:

Guess that I am going to start deleting all of my friends, and then attempt to delete my account! I'm never coming back. No, no way. Too many constraints on my time operating all of that CLASS A equipment that I operate on a daily basis. I'm just too busy folks. I'm never coming back!:bigclap:

Ridge Runner 11-14-2008 06:34 PM

While I still have my "Mod" ability I will not use it unless I have to. You are taking advantage of the situation. That my friend is WRONG!!!! Tone your ass down or I will make my last call on you!!! There is NO need to make this place into a "truckers net". You seem to think that the things that are happening gives you a free hand to disrupt this board,,,, you are wrong. I may have my differences with the management but I will always stand against what is wrong. You sir are WRONG!!!

I hope you get my drift! Even after my Admin are gone I will still call BS when I see it.

Ridge

belpre122 11-14-2008 06:42 PM

I heartily and respectfully disagree with you on this one Ridge. This deception has gone on far too long. If I gotta go, I gotta go. This has been going on far too long unchecked. If you need to use your mod powers for one last time on me, I do respect that. I do absolutely.

All that has to be done is for the poster in question to answer in a definitive way, such as:
http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/l...122/cdlnew.jpg

Or continue to mislead the good folks that come here looking for honest guidance. Your move Ridge and I respect it either way. Gary

Ridge Runner 11-14-2008 06:52 PM

I have no problem when two posters disagree. But to follow someone around and every post they make turns into a pissing match.... well that is WRONG. I don't want to see every thread turn to that again. Different subject, different theme ..... keep it where it belongs. If she doesn't respond.. Then you win. But don't drag the board down to that level. PLEASE!!!

belpre122 11-14-2008 06:56 PM

Agreed, good Sir! ;)

I don't want to see the board dragged down either Ridge.

Herein lies the problem. There is no disagreement. It's a simple case of one poster attempting to bully another. I don't like being bullied. :pissedoff: I don't know what Gary's problem is, and I don't care, but I'm getting tired of the baiting. When, and if, it becomes a requirement of CAD to submit my Class A CDL I will submit it to the proper authorities, but I will not be bullied into posting it on an internet forum. So if that let's Gary think he won, so be it.
It's easy to win a fight when you're in it by yourself. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/d...eys/jerkit.gif

FWIW, I obtained my Chauffer License in 1977. (My father owned 6 trucks, so I grew up in them.) I let it lapse in 2000 as I was busy with other things and did not have the time or resources available to take a road test. I currently hold an Illinois Class A -all endorsements except Hazmat, which is in the works. I work part time at the local Transit Company as a CDL Instructor, in addition to my full time job as a Driver/Operator. Oh yeah, I was also just elected as a Union Steward. So unless I'm applying for a job with you, that's all you need to know.

The Smell of Victoryhttp://riot.typepad.com/the_lucretiu...spraying17.jpg

"You smell that? Do you smell that? Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end..."

Wow. You fell right into that one.

golfhobo 11-15-2008 03:23 PM

Who fell into WHAT? And who was victorious?

Reb answered Bel's nagging question (which SHOULD shut him up) without having to post her CDL as proof. Bel lost the argument, yet makes some obtuse reference to victory.

IIRC, Reb DID post her CDL-A here some time back when she used it as an avatar. Apparently, Bel was on line 5 at the time.

I believe Bel offered a "profuse apology." I'd like to hear it.

I didn't offer a recap. I asked two questions. How does Reb's answering Bel's question consitutue "falling into" anything. And why is Bel claiming victory when he has none?

The one thing I DIDN'T notice anyone asking for was your opinion. Or mine. But, it didn't stop either of us, now did it?

IIRC.........well GH, you don't. An operator's license photo was posted as an avatar for a brief period. No CDL-A as you purport. Too much of that Line 5 business Hobo! LOL

Well, it is always possible that I remember incorrectly, although I have a semi-photographic memory, and I could swear I remember seeing the CDL-A attached to that picture in the avatar. But, how can I trust YOUR memory... that it was ONLY a photo (and why do you refer to it as an "operator's licence photo" unless it was clear that it was ON some kind of operator's licence?)

The apology, I would think, would be for HOUNDING another member of the board, for NO reason. Even IF she didn't have a CDL-A, it would be no different than many of our other posters who are not drivers. And, from what I understand... she IS a driver with a CDL of SOME class, which makes her at LEAST equal to a DAY CAB driving "LOCAL WUSS!" :lol2::rofl:

Your recent HUGE TYPEFACE, "colored" posts, with excessive emoticons, etc.... (having little or nothing to do with the thread,) are reminiscent of a time vaguely familiar to me. :D

I also believe this would be your second (open and verbal) warning about it. I would HATE to see you win your "challenge" to those who can make you disappear (or at least put you in time out!) That will make extra driving time requirements for me and Sync! :hellno:

Don't know what's on the youtube link. Like I said, maybe soon! :eek1::pissedoff:

I gotta say, though.... you posting YOUR CDL (with photo) was a shocker! I had you pictured MUCH differently! A little more hair, perhaps... and one less chin.

Shows what "I" know about what passes for a "ladies man" in Indiana! :moon::lol2::lol2::lol2:

For that matter.... it shows how little ANY of us know about the others. We all get pictures in our minds that go with the attitudes and words we read from each other.... but, that is obviously SO far from reality.

I have only had the privilege of meeting ONE member of CAD so far. Others might be pending. But, sometimes I think about a big CAD party, where we could all meet, but then I reject the idea! It would take all the mystery out of it (for ME, at least) and bring personal prejudices into play.

And I didn't COME to CAD for personal prejudices. Originally, like most, it was for information. I stayed for the incredible amount and quality of intelligent debate. I am STILL here mostly due to the dysfunctional family atmospere!:bow::lol2:

Back on topic.... what does it matter if someone has a class-A license or not? There are MORE drivers on the road (I would think) who were grandfathered in with Chauffer's licenses, then there are those of us newbies who have "stuck it out" under the new rules and classifications.

People like Gman, KC0iv, Orangetxguy, Solo379, Skywalker.... MANY others... and yes, even Big Diesel.... were driving miles in their SLEEP before most of us even considered getting into it! (I noticed your license issue date is identical to mine.)

I guess, if I ever HAD a point to this post, it was lost long ago in my rant!

But, I guess I'm saying that a little confrontation, and even some heated argument is de riguer for a site like this.... but, I don't like backbiting, behind the scenes manipulation, or open hostility! This site is above that.

And so are you.

Again, I will have to check out that video when I CAN. Somehow, I'm not sure I'm gonna LIKE what I see!

Don't know WHAT the "fella in the chair" is doing or getting.... but, I'm pleased that you equated me to Morris (I think.)

I AM a poet (published)

I AM a songwriter on a small scale. Nothing published or recorded, but several performed by myself in front of an audience in the thousands. (Ever heard of Tops In Blue?) [google it]

I AM also a singer. I have won competitions for doing so, with and without my own guitar accompaniment and original authorship. This was all decades before American Idol, and other "talent" competition shows that rule the day. But, were I 30 years younger, or had these shows been in existence back then, I believe I would have GONE for it, and (based solely on empirical results) .... I may very well have BEEN an American Idol!:lol:

Ah.... but those are just the dreams of an abnormal life. Material for a stand up comedy act. Maybe even a "show about nothing."

Oh, did I mention I won a 4 foot high trophy for a 10 week long dance contest? Yeah, Bel.... if we ever get a chance, it'll be a LONG night! Hobo loves to party! :lol2:

But, we may have to meet somewhere other than Indiana. Hobo likes to party with INTELLIGENT women! :smokin:

I thought I remembered seeing a CDL that she posted somewhere on here, and sure enough you'll see it too if you go here:
http://www.classadrivers.com/forum/a...-thread-3.html

Scroll down to post # 51 and there it is:
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u...lin/cdlpic.jpg

I see the letters "CDL" on the top.
