Good info, good article there Tweety Bird, this old man at CDL school told me that if the weather is bad with snow and ice when you park at night to not set your trailer brakes and to rock back and forth in the spot you are in to melt any snow or ice so you can pull out in the A.M. Is that true?

just don't ever set your trailer brakes unless you're backed into a dock, or the truck is in the shop, and the mechanic tells you to set them.

in all honesty though, i'd rather set those than the tractor brakes. i'd much rather get under the trailer and pound away at the brakes than crawl underneath the tractor and free those brakes. i had to get the driver side drive brakes blow torched last winter since they were frozen as frozen gets. i wasn't going to be under there at all times since i still had the flu and it was a wonderful way of it progressing into something more. the temperature that morning was a nippy -24 with slight wind.

I am wishing winter was here and so is my son. He got home from school and decided to start the snowmobiles. You know you can never start too early right. It's on 90 flipping degrees outside.

Oh well, we love snow.
