Yes it's not the real world,but it can teach you about routing and rates,and which areas you need to position yourself in to get good rates.

There are a bunch of CAD members on the site now and we are talking about setting up our own company sometime in the future.

With paying for everything, (like fuel, repairs, a new truck) getting random mechanical breakdowns, etc... it's cool pretending to be an O/O without the risk. :D

Yeah I was "resting" overnight before I started,then I got my bonus and went to get my truck before starting,after you said I probably wouldn't make it I figured it out and you were right by 10hrs.,then when I got back to Corpus Cristi all the tire loads were gone from there,so now headed to Panama City to get a tire load from there.

A veteran with my company warned all the new drivers with the slower trucks not to try those long ones. Glad it worked out for you! If I ever get to Yellowknife, (~2,265mi to go) I may change companies.

I'm Lil Bit there as well.........bit different just selecting your destination and not digging through available loads in and out, shippers and receivers and whatnot........no computer animated backing and highway driving and such....not running it down, just saying, it is a bit different than being out there but something fun to pass some time with here :)

I went with Sassy chassy, I dont know why. :wink: I am waiting for my application with a company to be accepted. Already changed to casual and bought a cheap truck . Now what????

I bought my truck, picked my load, now waiting to be accepted by the company. How long does that take?

Also, can you actually "drive" the truck or is this just a "paperwork" type game?

You need to go read the forums(yeah I know more forums....)it will give details on how to run your truck and how to upgrade and all that stuff.

Were you watching your speed,compared to weather speed? Or are you just a bad driver?.....LOL

Count me in as Mr Ford. I had did a little daddling with it the other day under another name, had to retire that driver in order to start over. Tried running a load from Richmond to Albuquerque after purchasing the highest priced starter truck. Pulled a Homer Simpson when it came time for fuel, DOOOH! :D Won't make that mistake this time around.

Which is the best starter truck the middle priced one?

It took about 5hrs. to get accepted to my company (CF ) the game is text based,with some maps thrown in.

LOL! at least it wasn't a HOS violation. I got one of them when I first started this game. They suck, because they lower your rating AND your efficiency. :shock:
