Any body been watching the show Ice Truckers?

I've been taping the show and watching it. It's pretty good except I can't believe the truck sinking into the ice at the beginning of the show is for real. Well, maybe they sank a truck but they make it look like one sunk up there and they just happened to catch it on camera. AI like the boss guy he was funny when he was acting like he was fireing a gun at his buddy out the window for trying to pass him. Kind of a John Wayne moment. Good stuff. That Drew fellow on there that keeps messing up I think was in my training class at Werner. If I remember he was kinda different. Thats all I have to say.

that intro is a computer model and not real. i would be very timid to drive over any frozen lake.

14 or 15 hours at 35 MPH?
Can you imagine?? :?

I like how that guy Hugh makes his drivers drive junk. The one young guy that drives for him has a 1995 FLD with a heater that keeps breaking. There's no way in hell I would drive that in the extreme cold and snow. Hell, I wouldn't drive a 95 FLD anywhere for that matter! :D

Gotta love listening to Hugh how the one guy broke all that stuff on the truck. I would like to hear his explanation on how exactly the driver broke the ECM. He sounds like such a jerk, doesn't he?

Hugh is exactly the right person to have as boss in NWT-No Nonsense-Goes by the rules and works and what Doesn't work-
Sounds like a P...k but he's just like a DI in boot camp-Tries to save lives by being tough.

Yeah I don't get why they are so hard on Drew. I guess they think he goes over pot holes and stuff too fast, too much jarring on the equipment...... Or maybe it's the fact that the truck is like 16 years old...

Funny though Hugh's transmission went out on the first episode, which looked to be due to bad shifting technique.

Most of those guys they have on the show seem to be bone heads... Exceptions being Alex and one of the younger guys. Not TJ, TJ Tillcox or whatever is a bone head too... I love how he hit a pickup truck because his service line came loose. "Mechanical Failure" my ass.

The show is mildly entertaining just because of the characters on it.

He seems like a pretty decent guy, I wouldn't mind working for him myself. Though some of the equipment problems he blamed on Drew, I don't see as being Drew's fault...

I did get my new favorite saying from Hugh though. "Talk is cheap, whiskey costs money."

I love that saying. I'm just trying to figure out how to work it into my daily conversations now.

I thought the show was pretty good but I got bored with it. I haven't watched the last couple episodes.

I think the show would have great potential if they hired Mike Rowe and went in the direction of "deadliest catch" and "dirty jobs".
