I'll try and pull the carpet up in a hidden spot and if it looks like it will come up easy I'll pull the whole thing up then bring it in to a carpet place. Chances are a professional could install it in 10 minutes instead of me spending all day and looking like I put it in.

Rip out the carpet entirely and put down a nice hardwood floor, I am a neat freak when it comes to my truck, I hated getting the carpet dirty, the hardwood is much easier to clean, I put down a nice little throw rug in the back.

But if you must have carpet you can always buy a new one and install it, not much to do other than take the seats out,

Also I never, ever, ever get into my truck with shoes on, my boots come off as soon as I get into the truck and I put them on a little mat.

I use those dusting clothes that you can buy at any walmart or dollar store for dusting the dash, etc. I am constantly dusting, I am such a neat freak that if I see some dust on the dash while I am diving I will grab the cloth and start dusting while I am driving,

Damn, my worst fear has come true. Darth Fader has found me out.

I priced a new carpet at Kenworth, they wanted almost 600 bucks, you could save a lot if you bought a piece at a carpet store and cut it out yourself. There was nothing more to do in my truck other than to take the seats out.

Also, if any one was interested, I priced hardwood floor kits for about 700 bucks, I saved more than 300 dollars by buying the stuff and doing it myself, it was a big job though.

Just use Pergo - it's cheap, durable, and easy to install.

You could set some lino..even cheaper still. The work is actually easier than it appears. You can do it...so save your money...for overweight fines....and the CVSA violations you'll be getting in the next few weeks.

I've seen T/S selling those embroidered edge carpet samplers. They come in 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 ft. sizes...all colors, and sell for $2 a piece. You can buy them at Capet Stores too. I use bathroom size throw rugs. Walmat...cheap...easy to launder. But even those carpet samplers...I use them, and hose them off at home...scrub with a detergent and brush...and let them air dry and they are good as new.

I use to be fussy about keeping the cab clean at first. I don't fuss over it so much anymore...but I do keep up my housekeeping every other day or so.

I am careful about dragging in mud..or dirt...grease especially. I kick my shoes off just past the gear shifter.

What is most amazing to me...is I found this much to say about it. :P

I bought some carpet/doormat peices at Walmart. These I can use to cover the original carpet and is easily removeable each week to be swept off outside. I also skipped the wimpy wisk broom and bought a handheld scrub brush with stiff bristles also at walmart. It works ten times better.

I also intent to take a cheap washcloth and velcro it around the door handle, that way when I grab the handle with dirty hands it isn't permanent.

Yeah, but when you have put as much money into fixing up a truck as I have you want things to be top notch.
