Gosh, I am so sorry to read this thread and all that you are going through.

(((((((((Slimland))))))))

I wouldn't worry about being dependant on the pain meds, I'm pretty sure that if you weren't in pain you could kick them.

It worries me that you want to wait three years for the first doc to come back from Iraq.

I think it's hard to find a good doctor, but ... I'm pretty sure most of them could figure things out when it was before their eyes...

((((((((Slimland))))))))

have you found a forum where you can talk to a lot of other guys who have had experience with this????

I go to the back pain support group at this site, and it's very helpful...

here's the link for "Men's Health"

Consider I have been going through it for 3 years, but my surgeon will be back from Iraq in 2-3 months. I will wait for her, since no one else around her wants to touch it.

Thanks for you concern.

Slimland I know what you are going through I finally got some answers on my shoulder last week. Turns out 4 years ago I broke the head of my humorus bone off in my shoulder joint and it healed creating a second head on it. I have to see the Chicago Bulls and Bears team docs to get it fixed. No wonder I am in constant pain.

Wow, but what a great doctor to get to go see!

Well done!

Slimland,

I saw a commercial about a class action lawsuit a couple weeks ago, against the makers of a mesh product for hernias. If I remember right the mesh product started with a "K", but I'm not sure. If I were you, I'd do a little research and find out if the mesh they put in you was defective. Good Luck Brother!

p.s. If you cash in big, I'll take a 5% finders fee. LOL! Hope you feel better man.

Hey TCT, I have heard about it, and have posted on it on the 2nd page of this thread.. and Yes I do have the same brand of mesh,,.. it is a Kuegal patch, also know as a bard preflux plug. The recalls are oval, larg, exlarg. and they have lot numbers to go by..

I have the medium, I don't know if that is just the oval. or if those two are diffrent. I would think the same.. you know small, medium, large, then xtra.

But what I do know is no one will touch it.. So I have to wait untill my surgeon who put it in gets back from Iraq.. I look at it this way, if it is the mesh, it is not her fault. But the company who made the defective product.

Thanks for the links, I have a few, but I will check out the ones you have left.

thanks
Slimland
