Thanks for ending this on a positive note. :) |
I did read them, and your link. In the link I noticed this line, "The women -- four or five of whom were pregnant -- and children appear to have been killed with a single small-caliber gunshot to the head." I can't help but wonder, why do you think that is bad, if you think that it is all right for the American Army to bomb homes where pregnant women and children are, who have done nothing wrong. How is it bad for Saddam to kill women and children, and good for the United States to kill women and children? I don't see how the same thing can be both good and bad. Also, your signature caused me to stop and think, to wonder if your son felt loved, or if he put his life on the line to win your approval. I don't think you'd care either way. [Do you really think the army is a home for wayward boys? Do you think your son is wayward? and if he is wayward, do you think his life should be put at risk, possibly cut short? How will you feel if he is killed in Iraq or Afghanistan? Would it bother you if he died and Cheney was spending his millions completely oblivious of your son's sacrifice. I don't know. I think you are confusing the wars. I think you are confusing Saddam with Hitler. To me, what the two men did is pretty different. |
It appears you came here to pick a fight, just as you denounce the war because YOU feel there will not be any winners, there are no winners in your fight either.
You don't like Bush, OK, we get it. YOU hate Cheney, we get it. Halliburton is evil. Big oil worships at the devils alter, we get it. You drink the NPR kool-aide without even stopping to taste it just as a ditto head would agree if Rush stated that we should nuke Ghana because they beat the US in world cup soccer. Just be glad that, whether you like it or not, there are members of the military fighting for your very right to post that opinion. Now, move on with the civil discussion or this will be locked as it is then an exercise in hopelessness. |

You've been gone for more than a year. Your time is getting short. You're looking forward to getting married and a good future with someone that means more to you than anything else in the whole wide world. When the time is so short, you can even smell the pizza down at the corner... Then, suddenly, without any warning, the letter from your fiancee, that you've been waiting for tells you that you're entire world has nothing to revolve around anymore. He was not thinking of suicide or having anyone else killed. All he could realize was pain. I mean...PAIN!!!! He was a good soldier or he would not have lasted as long as he did. And, do not try to degrade him. He's not here to defend himself. And, locking this thread will not help "unCONSIDERate" attain any common sense. |
On the other hand, I don't know if there is any hope for unCONSIDERate.

Consider answer me one question.
What would you have us do to win this war? |

But at this point the religious groups are fighting. I was thinking of how it was someone from a different religion who killed Ghandi. A different religion from his. He was Hindi, I think. In terms of the huge war, I think that we could maybe win if we didn't act so superior all the time, and if we didn't have so much wealth in the hands of so few. If we took seriously the lives of all people, not just the Bill Gates of the world, not just the "chosen people." I remember dancing at The Bull's Eye, a "pub" in Monterey years ago when I was young. I accidentally bumped a black fellow and he said he should kill me. He said it as if he had a duty. I told him that I was friends with a black man and that my friend would be sad if he did that. An observer later told me that the man had a gun. What I mean is that "should" and "shouldn't" can be very tricky. Religion can be very tricky. Friendship isn't tricky. Of the posts on this thread, yours and roadhog's were the most different, at least the way I read them. Yet the two of you are friends. Someone on one of the forums talked about Bush and that man who's the president of Iran (I can't spell his name) being like one doll with two different sides. I don't know if you mean to win this debate, this discussion, but you've changed my feeling by your question. Good luck to you. :) |
Alright so you want more troops but how many do you want?
Also think about this the more troops that are over there the more casualties we will probably take. |

Also think about this the more troops that are over there the more casualties we will probably take. I think it's too late for more troops. Perhaps with negotiations and being friendly they could partition the country the way India was partitioned. Then each group would have their own land. They are fighting about stuff that's totally off our radar. I don't know the difference between the two religious groups. All I know is I don't like to see mums, kids and grandpeople killed. I don't like to see our soldiers killed either. So I think someone who is bright and good should help them solve it so everyone gets some of what they need. |
