Ok guys and gals, Here we go any suggestions or questions to start this?

Um heres one. Maybe. It may not be to good, but it will still serve as a controversial matter. It seems that slim and fozzy can't agree on anything, so this will still be good.

Why are we, the human race, here on earth? I know there is a simple answer to this, and I feel stupid even posting this question, but there ya go slim!

This is not a stupid question!!! Even though it is off the subject, I cannot answer this. I can tell you the whole duty of man, but not why God put him here on earth. Nor can I say we are the only ones. On the religious debate, I stated that God made the World's and the Heavens and the Host in them. Maybe we are the only one's to fall to Satan's deciption, Jesus said "The good sheperd leaves the 99 to find the 1" maybe we are the one.


Can Any one else answer this question?

The way I see it, we are here, and it is useless trying to figure out the answer because it is obviously "above" our heads, if you get what I mean. We are here because we are here. I just leave it at that.

First off you have to ask your self were did i come from and were am I going to answer the question why am I here. answer the first and the third you know the second and the true nature of God.

Not its not it is one that can be answered in Jeremiah the Lord says I new thee be for, I formed thee in the womb. So that suggests that we lived be for we were born. then the next step is find out why are we here? to be tested and tried to see if we will be faithful in all things what so ever the lord god has commanded. Then we look to the Lord Jesus Christ he arose on the third day clothed in a resurrected immortal body. Now as Paul taught he was the first fruits of the Resurrection and all will be raised up at the last day to be judged. So what happens to us after this life is dependent on what we do now we are forging our eternal paths what we do here will echo in the eternity's. So we need to be true to our faith in all things good or bad. the rain falls on just and the unjust or bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. The Lord is putting us thru the refiners fire. There is so much more then belief for faith is a action word it produces works. such as an example. I have been unable to drive for the past three years. Now if I just believe that one day I could drive again I never will if I don't act on it. I have since fought tooth and nail to get back and off this medical restriction. Now if just sat around with no action I would still be going nowhere. Much like those who profess to believe in Christ with their lips but there hearts are far from him, they profess a form of godliness but ignor the power there of.

Sorry about all the rambling but to sum it up 1 we lived be for we were born with God the father, 2 we were sent here to be tried tested and to learn to walk with faith and to rely only on the Lord Jesus the Son of god.
3 we will live again resurrected when Christ comes again to be judged and I do hope he shows great mercy to me. So I ask for forgiveness in any miss spelled words.

Now to get on with the origin of the true post. it is going to happen Christ taught this he said there will be wars and rumors of wars, Earth quakes in diver places. the sea's will spill over their bounds hmmm day after Christmas tsunami? The lord said these thing will happen I look at like this we live in exiting times. I hope that the time draws close. But no man knows the time of his coming except the Father. we can look to the signs and know that the coming is soon. Just like a person can see when the leafs change color you know winter is near.

I am really scared that it will be soon, and that I haven't been worthy of God and I don't get accepted.

It is simple live your life as best you can treat your neighbor as yourself and serve god with all your heart might mind and strength. For when your in the service of your fellow man your only in the service of your god.

It matters not whether we live or die but how we live did our actions reflect a Christ like life upon the earth? or were we just self serving?

End time prophecy's, Let's just say when it comes to end times, the key to it is Israel.
Jesus did tell us no one knows the time. The time of what?
I tell you the time of the Rapture.

God the father gave us the time of His Son's Crucifixion, and Anointing, in the book of Daniel. "and others". This was the first coming!

Jesus gave us the time of his Second Coming, as did God the Father in the Old Testament.

That leaves the Rapture. But he gave us hints and a Time frame.


(I am Testing the knowledge of Christians on this thread)

Can anyone tell me when the Second Coming will be?

Can anyone tell me the Scripture reference in the Old Testament of the First Coming?


And last What and When is the time frame for the Rapture?

Maybe I'm not reading this post right but I see a contradiction here. For thousands of years the world has been subject to tsunami's, meteor impacts, volcano's and earthquakes. Having said that, I believe that natural disasters of today are simply "normal" and God's wish since the Bible says he made the heavens and Earth. Why he does this...I do not know. But, since disasters have been going on so long, I doubt the size nor frequency of what we see now have anything to do with and when he comes. He has made it clear he's coming and it will be a nasty day for some when he does but I doubt thousands of years of natural occurrences is an indicator of how soon he's coming.

As for "why are we here?" When one creates something, it's usually for the benefit of themselves or someone else. To know "why" God created us would only be known by God himself.

We will never know why we are here nor will we ever be certain when he plans to come.

There is some good stuff there, OTR made some good points, Gypsie Brie, Jerymiah, just about everyone on there had something good to learn and say.

I do not have the scriptures in front of me but let me try and take a whack at it. In the New Testament Jesus told us to look at the parable of the fig tree. In the Songs of Solomon there is a passage that references a fig tree at the same time it references the bridge-groom coming for his bride. I believe this is Chapter 2 and may be in reference to the rapture. I believe his first coming was foretold by the prophet Isaiah.

In general terms Jesus is the bridegroom, the body of believers (the Church) is the bride, and Israel is the fig tree. Israel had to be resurrected as a country before His second return can take place. That happened in 1948 after nearly 2000 years of Israel being in non-existence as a country on a map.

The general time frame for the Rapture should be within the generation that saw Israel become a nation again. Some state it specifically when Israel took back Jerusalem in 1967. There is some question as to how long a generation is specifically but it is usually measured somewhere between 40-70 years.

Overall, when we see all of the signs Jesus gave in Matthew 24 AND see Israel become a nation again then we should look up because our redemption is very near.

Now that is a lot of rambling but I hope an answer is in there somewhere. :D

Acording to psalms and Genisis a generation is 40 years.
The first coming we know was fortold and came exactly as fortold.
The second comming is fortold and it was givin to us the time also.
Only the Raptur which was fortold, is not known to man, at least the day and hour.

Let me explain.
In the book of Daniel the last chapter 12 vrs 11&12 "after the Abomination of desolation is set up there is 1290 days, BLESSED is he who waits, and comes to 1335 days" This is the Second Comming, This is when Christ steps on the mount of Olive and splits it, return to earth. The exact day.

Now the Raptur can happen "from what I understand" 40 years after Israel gets thier land back. This happend in 1967 that put a generation around 2007-2008. To give further support to this I will have to point to the below.


This scripture is referring to the fall of the Towers on 9-11-01. This is the only time since Israel became a country, that 2 Towers have Fallen Thus "The Great Slaughter, When the Towers Fall". The sun and moon light is God's word going out into the world bringing people to him after the Fall of the 2 Towers. From my opinion of the scripture this will last for about 7 years, (1 year for 1 day, This is also found in Isaiah) if you keep reading vrs 27-33, you will notice that God makes the Nation to Error, then after that the Rapture this is the mountain of the Lord and the Music spoken about, Then on earth the Lord releases his Judgments on the earth and ungodly who denied him, during this time people will still be able to save their souls by accepting what Christ did on the Cross, but they will have hell on earth.

After the fall of the 2 towers, there is a period of 7 years, that God sends his light out, thus the light of the moon "which is God light shinning in the darkness" will be seven fold "more people comming to Christ the great call to come out of the darkness" The sun light is seven fold, " The Glory of God will be seen in his people, and the heavens". Then also after the Fall of the Towers, God will cause all the Nation to Error. Thus what is happening now. After the seven years there will be a call to come up to the mountain of the Lord "Raptur" after this Judgment on the Earth.

The Towers fell in 9-11-01, that with 7 years is about 2007-2008 give or take on both accounts because this would be going by Jewish Calander and Months.

It is now 2006.

I would not say I get it. I love studying the end-times and have a little bit of knowledge. But as I have heard before a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. :shock:

Slimland, what Bible passages are you referencing in the 2 towers post. This is the first I have heard about this and would love to read further.

The reason I put the Kings!

It is the makeup of the kingdom of darkness, it's also physical as it is spiritual. The king that was presently sitting on the beast was Lucifer "Satan" the beast that is to come out of the abyss is the Destroyer. His spirit is the one who flows over the earth, the one John told us about, the Spirit of the Antichrist. Before he comes out of the abyss he gets 10 kings "fallen Arch Angels" to attack Satan, When Satan falls or fell his Image fell with him. What is his Image? The same reason he fell from heaven Pride what gave him pride? his beauty, what gave him his beauty His Trading, The love of money is a root to all kinds of Evil. This all can be found in Ezekiel Ch 28 vrs 11-19. So now we know that the money systems of the world where made by Lucifer. When he fell his trading fell. Thus the 2 Towers. Rev ch 18 exact description, How many times does the Angle say Fallen? 2 Times vrs 2 "Babylon the Great is Fallen, Fallen" how much time does it take? 1 Hour vrs 10 "for in one our your judgment has come".

God called his people out before it fell "come out of her my people, so you do not participate in her plagues". Did God cause this to happen? No, The beast in the pit did.

Now what? Well, first the rapture then Satan has the key to the bottomless pit, he will open it releasing the 2 beast that reside in there, there names are Abbadon, and Apollyon, both mean destroyers. This is your Antichrist and False Prophet. They will heal the wound that was caused to the Kingdom of darkness "The neck wound" and they will reign, first the false prophet then the Antichrist."7&8" Notice the 8th one is of the 7, the 5th kingdom on earth was the Holy Roman Empire, it is reborn in the European union which originally consisted of 10 country's."10 Kings".

On first reading this is very interesting. Especially the part of the money systems being made by Lucifer. This would seem to also go into the mark of the beast in ch 13 of Revelation where no one could buy or sell without the mark of the beast in the forehead or the hand.

I'm with you Redeemed, I was surprised about Lucifer and the money system. Slimland shot this idea at me awhile back and I have been trying to do some research on the subject. I find it very fascinating but on the other hand sometimes I rather just focus on what God has in store for me in Heaven and more importantly how He wants me to live today.

Ditto. Figuring out when the day of reckoning is is like trying to figure out the day you are going to die. It's something that might be interesting but in the end you don't really want to know. I just want to focus on living life according to God's will and let the end come when it does.

I think you guys are on the right track with this, in a sense.
What I mean is God gives everyone of his children Gifts of the Spirit, you can read this in 1st Corinthians. So therefor someone might be a leg in the body of Christ, Someone might be a foot, but neither go without each-other, a leg needs a foot to stand on, and a foot needs a leg to carry it.

Prophecy is very important in a believer's life, why? Because it is the Testimony of Jesus Christ Revelations Ch 19 vrs 10. It Glorifies God and it cuts right to the Heart of man, for Gods love is shown in Prophecy. If Gods will is to tell people of Jesus Christ " The Great Commission", first we must look how God the Father told us about Christ, He did it through prophecy. The Apostle's of Christ, based there foundations on Prophecy.
They show how it happened or will happen, then show how it points to Christ. For prophecy in it self is only partial, it will be done away with when the one it prophecy's-is about is come in it's fullness. This also is in, Corinthians.
So a believer's life is wound in the Word of prophecy, "this is the Hope, the Faith, The Love". It is there to tell us what will happen, don't close your eye's to it, that's what the Pharisees did, and when it happened they didn't think IT WAS FAIR YOU SEE. And the Sadducee's did the same thing, that's why THEY WHERE SAD! :lol:

Prophecy is a tool, a strong tool for the believer, and for the non-believer it cuts to the heart showing the darkness of their lives. Therefor the secrets are revealed.

I tell you it is one of the most, easily understandable things God has given us. It just takes car-full reading and some history work, and to understand the whole context of the vision. Some in the old days could not understand it cause it was not time. In Daniel the Angel tells him "to shut up the book, until the time of the end, when people go to and fro, and knowledge increases" This is that time. Now we as the body of Christ have a better understanding of prophecy, concerning these latter events, The seals have been broken by the Lamb, allowing us access to Gods mind.

You are correct. Being in the body of Christ we are to use and refine our gifts and talents while being mindful of keeping balance that says one part of the body is not more important than the other.

Prophecy is interesting for me but I have seen many who take it too far and ends up leading them farther away from Christ instead of closer. Arguments of pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, amillinialism, etc., etc. While I like to study it I take the "pan" approach meaning no one knows the time of his return so study, watch, and wait and it will "pan" out to His will in the end. :D

But Jesus was clear that we should not just sit watching the sky. We should be about the Masters business and dilligently working for his will until he returns.

Yea, I think some of them go to far. but what is too far? Paul tells us Some save by fear of whats comming, some save by just telling someone about Christ. So ethier way something is being said of Jesus Christ. It depends on the listener, what will get there attention.
What is His will? But to live life, and Love Him with all your heart. His will is for others to know about Him so they can make that discission on there own. No I agree we should not and just sit and watch the sky, that sky is there to let us know, that there's not much time left befor the master returns, it is the Christian Clock so to say.
Either way it all points to Christ and His love that He has for man. The only need is to accept it.

Kamarri I did not say that, I said it is my opinion and what I have found in my studies. But even If it was correct "which I do believe it is" what diffrence does it make. Your dreams are nothing compared to the reality of Jesus Christ and being in Heaven. The absolutes of being up thier overwhelms the mind. Just think Saturn, mars, jupiter, other Galaxys, will be at your touch because you believed in the maker, a truck who cares when you can ride the Chariot of God. Time has no meaning. the things that Christ has prepared for us, is unimaginable to the human mind. The things of this world will not matter. I can't wait!!

The arguments of wich trib is correct can be singled out by reading and asking God to show you the truth. The bible is explisit in its teaching on these subjects. I figure you know of what I talk about, I let the Holy Spirit teach me not man. But I found something interesting take a look at it, it supports the pre-trib argument which I believe to be the thruth.

Your right Slimland, we do agree. My comments here were more directed toward an earlier comment of trying to figure out the date. I would not want to try and be a date setter because it sets a bad example. But Jesus was clear in many passages to be watching for his return. Not to guess the date or time but to recognize the signs. That is me, a watcher of the signs.

My past experience of someone going to far with a end-times arguement was a post-tribber who got so adament about his belief that he declared that no one could be a true believer who thought other than he. Bad move when you let something like that take over and be the judgement of others salvation. It gets in the way of Gods greatest commandments...Love God with everything you got.....Love each other as you would love yourself.

When I strayed away from Christ it was the subject of prophecy that started me back to Him again. You are right that not everyone will be saved by the same subject matter. For some it will be the helping hand of a hot meal or a warm bed. For others it will be friendship and companion ship of a caring person. And for some like me it is a reminder of what is to come for those who are not watching and ready.

Well I am glad we cleared that up. It crackes me up and pisses me off, when people who think a certain way, tell us if we don't think like them, then where not believers. That is exactly what the Holy Roman Empire did, therfor Killing all in Gods name. If it wern't for People like Huss, Luther, Joan of Arch, etc. The truth of "By grace you are Saved" would have probably been squished in those days. I don't care what you believe when it comes to prophecy, as long as you believe in what Jesus did on the Cross of Calvery, and Rose the Third day. Thats what matters.
I do not like Organized Religion, it is worse that Athiesm, and the Penalty from God is worse, it is better to have never known Him, than to have known Him and rejected Him.
As concerning to put a time on things, that is NOT what I am Doing. I am simply stating that Jesus gave us the Clock to go by, the first and second comming He told us when they would be, But the Rapture He gave us a time frame, but the day and hour we do not know. I was just pointing out the time frame, and showing how close it was to being over. Maybe someone will read it and realize just how close it is. That is My duty, That is My gift, from the Holy Spirit wich is the Last Testamony of Jesus Christ.
