Stan . . is it the freight you haul or are you some kind of super ugly mother? My first level 1 was a little over 6 years ago and today was my second. I have had 1 level 2 roadside, 2 genuine 3s and a handful of various permit/log book checks and glances. Swift is in inspect status in WA and OR so I roll a lot of scales while I'm up here but I rarely get called in.

I'm in he lead on this board...or at least the only one willing to admit it. LOL
One fix it ticket for horn not working and a marker light on trailer was out!
That got me writing up at work even though I had proof I put it in my DVR book more then a MONTH ago before the ticket. They said I should of had them fixed or reported it. I said I did and showed them and they said they will look into it. LOL Never heard about it again.
The second was my fault....missing the POE on 90 going in to Spokane. Two lanes down to one, cones every were, guys with vests flags etc all over, heavy rain, 9 am traffic and it was not my day. I missed it! opps.
That got me a verbal waring.
Next is a 3 day suspension from work.
I expect before this is over I will be out of a job. Thanks DOT.
5 years ago a missed scale would of been a turn your dumb ass around and go thru like everyone else. But not now.... Now its 5 points for me!
I'm looking for a new job and letting my cdl go to the wayside. I'm done driving and dealing with the communist fookers who run this industry. I can make the same money selling used fooking cars LOL and at least I don't have to deal with tickets and BS all day. I have more options then to be forced to deal with this. This is America not CHINA.....or at least it is for now.....
My prediction in a nut shell for this industry:
All drivers worth a sht will be driven right out with small infractions.
Fresh meat from schools will pop up every were cause they have a clean record and are insurable for less. Of course they have a clean record. They never driven a truck!
Accidents go up and dot notices.
They wonder what to do and decide more rules need to be implemented and more enforcement needs reinforcement.
More drivers get the boot due to petty stuff.
Newer drivers get jobs....
More accidents get recorded cause more networked scales.
More rules....

I got a letter from hr a day ago. A written warning to PT my truck LOL They said I failed to PT my truck and tats a company violation.
BTW I think its no small coincidence we got a new super this same month. The last one lasted 2 months and the one bifre lasted 5 months. I assume this one will be gone in a month. But he fired one driver so far and another quit I think I'm next...

when you are ready to quit, you are ready. I don't like the way things seem to be headed but I'll stick it out till eather things start makeing a little sense or as you mentioned, they get me out for small things.

well yes, I see why it would be your fault. we all know that if everything works in the morning, it is not possible for something to stop working while you are driving and especially without your knowledge. after all. a light never burns out while you are driving, they only quit while the truck is parked and they are turned off. a wire cant break while driving, only while parked, tires only fail while parked, etc.. so it is 100% your fault, you obviously didn't do your pt correctly

lol, one of my old companies tried doing that to me, I told them the water level was low and I couldn't figure why, they said I failed to do a pt and they were going to write me up. I put more water in, an hour later, same problem. Actually the radiator started coming apart and that was the problem so I never saw the writeup. I just hate when someone accuses me from over the phone and they don't even know what they are talking about, lol.
