Quote: We have a couple trucks testing out a new Qualcomm system. When a new message comes in, you press a button on the dash and the QC reads the message out loud through the truck's radio speakers.
I have been wondering for several years why that was not something within the QC system already. Nice to see it is coming around, next thing if that works, just like a computer with the talk-speak deal. Driver would be able to reply by saying a key word and then talking a response out and sending it without having to worry about stopping and typing.

Quote: CT, as long as your not riding down the road with the QC up on the steering wheel doing that. I passed a Covenant truck doing just that at dusk one evening out on I-81 near Lexington, VA. I don't care who you are or how good you are, that is just stupid.

Question, if your eyes don't leave the road, then how do you read an incoming message before you respond?
Have really long arms dont have to put quall on the steering wheel.

To answer question;
Nope have the new braille qualcomm that just came out.

You sure you are not my DM he takes me serious too.....
Like when I told him I got to stop talking on the phone while driving because I dropped my sandwich

By the way next time you go thru the drivethru at the bank check out the ATM always wondered why they put the braille on it....
