Quote: Pretty much quitting gordon is my biggest regret in life but I did it and that's that. I went on to drive local and didn't make any money nor have any fun. So I'm back out OTR and loving it. I'm here to stay. Before anyone asks, I didn't go back to gordon because I want to run EAST all the time!

I'll post a review along with photos after a couple trips with the gps. I just want it for getting off the highway and getting to a customer. That's where I have most of my problems with horrible directions or hidden street signs.
I hear what you're saying about GTI...my man had a green DM...he was green...and she was pushy...it didn't work for him. He regrets leaving also - a lot of the issue was his being a newbie as well - but he would NEVER admit he regretted leaving!

Your reason for wanting the GPS is the exact same reason as his. Highway routing is not an issue at all. Getting to the customer, well, let's just say that his co gives pretty darn @#!&% directions MOST of the time...if they even give 'em!!

i use mapquest.com strictly for confirming the directions given, or for directions after getting off the freeway if none were available before. i also use it to locate customers. its aerial image is very handy. i love being able to see where the docks are, which way to enter, and so on. i especially love it for those deliveries to department stores. after a few times of entering from the wrong driveway and doing the parking lot slalom & obstacle course without hitting anything. it's been 100% with showing the best way in and out.
