I see no need to call in on a driver for not being able to back up properly. We all have bad days. Unless he is running over someone on the open road, I would not worry about it. If you haven't had a bad day where you had difficulty backing, then you haven't been driving long. Everyone has a bad day now and then.

Oh The memories-- :lol:

This remindes me, when I had started driving, I couldn't back up for nothin,, Then one day I had to delever to Barbras cut, next to Huston.. I was so embarresed my backing was worse than my spelling. I took me what felt like 30 min to back into the spot. The doc manager even told me if I didn't hurry, he was going to get someone to back it for me.. After that epesod I had to get a load of plastic pellets for Big Springs.. The shipper wasn't ready so I had asked them if I could borrow there lot for practice. They gave me the go ahead, and I finaly understood the process.

So after time I could back into just about any Small spot, and I have been to quit a few tiny spots.. But I had one incedient where I had a Huge parking lot and about 20 doors to choose from, it took me forever to get it backed.. From then on out, I have always had problems with too much room.

I think it is the fact with so little room you have something to guid you, and with alot of room, you have nothing to guid you.. I have lernt to take like a rock and put it on the ground to guid me..

Yeah...we've all been there....

Today for some reason (heat, humidity, weariness, etc.) I had trouble backing up--especially at one place...something just didn't look quite right.... :lol:

My take on this is that CR England might find your call to safety to be very reassuring.

After all, this IS a C.R. England driver we are talking about.......

Now, if he HAD backed in properly??

Then I'd say "Get on the horn to CR England, and the Police; because there is a very high probability that the truck has been STOLEN!!

Jeez. Remember you don't know why the driver was having a tough time.
The driver did not from what you say damage anything or kill anybody. We all have bad days, bad mechanicals etc. etc. and to have to worry about Road Rats on top of everything else we have to deal with is ridiculous. After all how would you react if someone called in and ratted you out with out kowing the reasons behind it or showing common courtesy of offering assistance. As you said you left the driver struggling to take care of your own business first. Poor professionalism in my opinion - sure wish I knew who you were because personally I wouldn't lift my little toe in the slightest for you if we should ever meet.
BE THE DRIVER WHO OPERATES AS A PROFESSIONAL(leave the weasels in the offices)

I have been there and it took me 1/2hr to get it strait in the door

speaking of backing........................ has anyone ever delivered to any one of the places on Underground Dr in kansas city, MO????? where you go underground and there are businesses underground>???? i thought that was cool.......... it was nice and cool underground too...and you had to back around the pillars....... its off exit 57 across from the casino and truckstop
