I have a feeling this topic may go over like a lead balloon but here goes. It will be 2 years this June since I started eating primarily vegetarian. I still eat fish somewhat regularly, and I'll have a steak on special occasions. I'm not fanatical about it, but I do try to eat meat as little as possible.
Why? It's not because I'm opposed to killing animals for food. I still hunt and eat what I kill, or what my family kills. What I am really opposed to is the meat industry in general, especially the fast food industry. It's all about production and sales for them and damn the quality of their product. I choose not to participate and think I am healthier for it.
I am not trying to win converts, or convince anyone they should do as I do. I post this topic only to see if there are any other vegetarian truckers out there. I'm just now going to school, but plan to be on the road soon and would love to hear your tips on eating on the road.
Personally, I don't think it's going to be too hard, but I definitely know that I don't know everything.
