I dunno, but I'll relay the story. I parked behind another truck who was waiting for the reciever to open, it was about 4:15AM, I had a delivery time of 4:30. We were both parked off to the side of the road, it was a side street and there was no traffic. I was sitting in the drivers seat updating my logbook when I was blinded by a light in my mirror. I squinted and saw the cop had his spotlight shining right in my eye and had his red and blues on.
"DRIVER, EXIT THE VEHICLE AND COME BACK HERE", he said over the PA.
I got out and walked towards the cop, who kept the damn spotlight right on me.
"Move your truck". He said.
"Where? I've got a delivery to make here."
"I don't care, you're blocking traffic, now move your truck, now."
As he said that, two cars went by, obviously with no trouble.
As I started back to my truck I heard him yell "Tell the other driver to move his truck too."
I walked back "With all due respect sir, why don't you tell him to move."
"You getting smart with me? You tell him to move his truck and I want you both out of here or I'll write you both up."
I walked up to the other driver and knocked on the door. He got out of the sleeper and opened his window.
"Sorry to bother you but there's this a--hole cop behind me and he says we've got to move or he'll write us both a ticket."
Driver looks back. "Worthless Hoboken cops, they're always doing this sh-t. Follow me, I know where we can park for the time being." We both drive off and park about 3 blocks down the road in an empty lot. The Cop sat there in front of the reciever for about 20 minutes, then satisfied that he had done the public good, left. We drove our trucks back, by that time the reciever was opening for business and got us unloaded pretty quickly.
