Recognizing Need for Higher Pay and New Equipment National Carriers, Inc. Announces Pay Raise for Company Drivers

Coinciding with Driver Appreciation Week National Carriers Inc. is pleased to announce a two cent per mile increase in company driver compensation. Beginning on September 14 2015 all experienced solo company drivers will receive a minimum of .40 per dispatched mile and team drivers will start at .46 CPM whether loaded or empty. National Carriers has increased driver pay over 14% in less than 12 months. NCI considers professional drivers a highly valued asset as NCI strives to lead the refrigerated transportation sector in customer service public motoring safety and on time pickups and deliveries.

Recognizing the need to offer opportunities for individuals interested in beginning or restarting a career as a professional driver National Carriers is now offering driver training. Qualified CDL holders requiring refreshment in over-the-road driving or drivers with a CDL who are new to the industry may now join the “Elite” Fleet. NCI is committed to hiring military veterans through participation in the ATA Hiring Our Heroes Initiative.

With this announcement National Carriers Inc. is confident the contributions of our professional drivers will meet the continuing increased freight demands of our expanding customer base. To meet the escalating needs of our customers and professional drivers National Carriers has invested in one hundred fifty 2015 Utility refrigerated trailers equipped with SmartTruck UT6 aero-dynamics three hundred-forty Kenworth T-680 Advantage tractors and thirty-five 2016 Freightliner Cascadia tractors. The trucks are equipped with automatic transmissions refrigerator/freezers and auxiliary power units allowing for increased driver comfort and a reduction in total carbon footprint.
