J.B. HUNT TRANSPORT INC. ANNOUNCES UPDATES TO TRUCKLOAD BUSINESS UNIT’S DETENTION PAY POLICY

 

LOWELL Ark. May 14 2015 – One of America’s leading transportation companies J.B. Hunt Transport Inc. recently announced changes to its Truckload business unit’s detention pay policy. The policy will be effective for nearly 1200 drivers beginning May 31 2015.

 

The Company is seeking to enhance driver satisfaction through a new detention pay policy coupled with an updated pay scale which was released in fall 2014.

 

Driver requests prompted the change to the policy. The new policy requires detention pay after two hours at a customer at $15 per hour up to 10 hours total.

 

In addition to improvements to the division’s pay scale and detention policy the Truckload business unit recently added more than 800 new Freightliner Cascadia Evolution trucks to its fleet and plans to add 3500 new Wabash trailers by the end of 2015.
