By: Crete Carrier Corporation

Lincoln NE (December 14 2012) – The Patriot Fleet a special fleet of 18-wheelers owned by Crete Carrier that are decorated to honor the men and women in the armed services will make a first trip to Arlington National Cemetery for this year’s Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony.
Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization that promotes veterans’
remembrance. Its mission is to remember and honor veterans by placing wreaths at the graves of fallen military members during the holidays – a time of traditional family gatherings – and teach children that we are able to gather in peace because of the many sacrifices made by military men and women. Through the effort and in one short week tens of thousands of wreaths will be placed nationwide.
Charles Cornelius a Crete Carrier driver since 2002 who retired from the U.S. Navy after 17 years of service is behind the wheel of one of the five Patriot Fleet Trucks this weekend. Cornelius began the 2012 Wreaths Across America journey on Wednesday Dec. 12 at the Harrington Maine headquarters. The convoy of trucks gathered to load semitrailers with wreaths and then traveled down Route 1 to Washington D.C. to Arlington National Cemetery.
