Ohio Schools

I am planning to get my CDL. I live in Ohio and have been looking at Big Rig in Canton and TDDS in Lake Milton. Does anyone have experience with either of these schools?

Also does anyone know any good trucking companies in Ohio that do not require experience for regional company drivers?

Thanks!

I should probably mention that the first school charges $800 and the second $6000. Quite a difference.

I don't know either of those schools, but I would check their accredidation and curriculum and then make my decision. Living in Ohio you should not have a problem finding a good job with most anyone. It is a major freight area. Your school should be able to assist you in placement with a carrier. There is also a compay listings on this forum with most of the major carriers listed along with their minimum hiring requirements. Not all carriers accept inexperienced drivers. Some require at least 1-2 years experience.

It maybe a lil late and Im sure u have chosen by now. I went to TDDS in Lake Milton, In my opinion it was a very good school, coming into not knowing anything about the industry or even knowing how to drive a standard, they tought me everything i needed to know.
