Driver Training School

Does anyone know what the average cost to attend driver training school is? I was quoted with a price of $3295 plus $200, is this reasonable?

Sounds about right. However, try looking for programs offered at a local community college. Typically they are under $2000 and sometimes less.

What part of the US are you in? Might help some of us to field your question better.

Live near Athens, Ga. unable to go to technical school my current job that I have I am unable to do that but the trucking school that I checked into (Daly's - Buford, Ga) does have weekend classes which is good for me.

Just looked at Daly Trucking Driving School. If you are going to go through a 17 day course, why don't you just sign on with one of the major carriers and get into a job right after training? Look into Roehl and Stevens. Both have training programs in the Atlanta area.

Trying to get my 20yrs in first, but before that I was planning getting my CDL that way I still have money coming in before I retire from this job to help pay for the class (which they have weekends school). I will look into Stevens & Roehl, thanks.

You could always wait until you retire and then sign up with someone like Schneider, ect... that have there own school. You wont have to pay for the training and you get your CDL. Now I dont want to say you wont PAY. You will in the long run with Schneider because you will have to sign a contact in order to go through training. Not sure how long the contract is now but it was one year when I went through. Hope this helps.

If you have any Schneider School questions just let me know. I will do my best to answer.

I looked at the Schneider website and noticed the cdl training they have. Now if I get my CDL permit and pass the classes, how or when do I get my CDL license from my home state? Is there any restrictions on getting the license?
