Your better off going to Tidewater Community College to get your cdl, its only $1300, 8 weeks long. I don't know if ATI has changed things, but last I heard there course cost 8,000 and it was only 5 weeks long

The campus out in Portsmouth has it, you'll have to call and check to see when there class dates are

A friend of mine just graduated from there about a month ago. He said it was a very good school and was pleased with everything.

Here's one of the problems with asking a question like this. People will answer saying the school is great or the school sucked. They make the comment having only gone to one school. Unless a person has gone to more than one school they don't have anything to compare it to, thus no real solid answer. If you have more than one option try doing a side-by-side comparison of cost (with interest), classroom hours, hours behind the wheel (you, not 3 of you sitting the berth), and any other items taught. Try to get as much as you can in writing. If they make claims but won't back them up I would be suspicious. It's hard choosing a school so do your homework. Visit them, talk to teachers and instructors, and try to get a feel for which you like better. These schools are only thinking of what it takes to get you your CDL, so don't pay more than you have to.
