Back Support

I don't see this mentioned here, either it is not a problem or too proud to ask so I will FYI.

They have seat cushions for the tail bone and lumbar in most pharmacy stores, I never saw any good ones at Wally world. Really good when your just starting and all those long hours.

Tip for the new guys.

While this subject has been brought up, most companies, especially OTR, spec the truck seats with lumbar support. This is either mechanical or air operated. Also many times the seats will have other adjustments that can be made to the cushions. Take the time to learn how to properly adjust the seats and then adjust them to you. It may take some time to get the seat adjusted perfectly for your body, but once you do it will make a world of difference.

I understand that the seats adjust in the back but what about the rear. It seem to me that is the thing that you sit on for hours and hours at a time. They have such a thing as a cocxic( dont know if I spelled that right ) basically the tail bone. The cushion I am referring to splits right in the middle to give relief from hours on that bone. Anyway I have gone through quite a few pillows due to the fact that my husband don't want to sit on some thing that smells like another man.

So for the new guy if your rear starts hurting from the 11 to 14 hour day they do have a device that can offer some relief. I find people who are not in a lot of pain can focus on learning and driving better. No it is not a hemorroid cushion just go to the pharmacy maybe even Wally world and ask for the tail bone cushion.

I'd love to find a good "butt pad". There are times that after a long day of driving (especially on those "good" roads) I can't even lay on my back in bed because of the pain.
