Porta Potty

I truly thought I'd find a thread on here asking about the best product for going poo on the road without getting outta the truck. As a soon to be lady driver who is very safety minded, I would like to know what will be the best investment for the amount of space I will have in a standard sleeper bunk to do "muh biznezz" in.

I've seen quite a few items in the camping sections at sporting goods stores, but most of them are bulky potty's that I'm not sure there would be room for.

Any advice??

gigi_roxx 05-16-2007 02:15 PM

Yeah I know it's a crappy thread.... But I'm serious... *sigh*

Was just kidding....lol I never carry anything, just use the restroom some where.

gigi_roxx 05-17-2007 06:34 PM

yeah but...

You're a dude. I'm a lady.

I'm more worried about getting the :dung: beat out of me if I leave the truck at night.

Guess I'll learn what's good the old fashioned way... keep buyin' til it fits the :dung:'s

Thanks.... I suppose a moderator can delete this crappy thread! :!: :?

Use a 5 gallon bucket lined with two 13 gallon trash bags. When you have done the dirty deed, tie the bags off and drop them outside your door and place them in the trash during the daylight.

How much room you will have will depend on what you are calling a "standard" sized sleeper.

A 2 gallon porta potty should fit in most sleepers and could be stored either under the bunk or on the passenger side floor boards.

If you think space will be at a big premium then you could go with something like:

The problem I see with the bucket/bag rig is that the bucket still takes up a lot of space when not in use. An even more compact solution is the folding camp potty. It's basically a camp stool with a toilet seat on top and bag underneath. When folded for storage it would probably fit just about anywhere.

The main purpose of the 5 gal. bucket is for trash. In an emergency and it really has to be an emergency I use it for a toliet. It can also serve as a stepping stoole for the vertically challanged. I've used it as such and I'm 6'1".
