Sunglasses?
I just came home from a trip delivering near Las Vegas.
This was my second trip to the southwest in a month and the scenery and weather were fantastic once in UT, NV, AZ and NM. We took I-40 across AZ and NM coming home. I am the morning driver it seems and thats fine with me. We stayed at a stop in western AZ. I started driving east as the sun had only been up a few minutes and all I can say is Holy Nuclear Furnaces Batman. I thought I knew what bright sunlight was having driven into the rising sun going to work for years in the upper midwest, but that desert sun is something to behold  My cheapy sunglasses are not going to cut it in that enviroment! What are some good brands of sunglasses that will filter out the UV radiation and knock down the sunlight so I can drive safely. Oakleys are a little to pricey for me and I dont want anything with heavy frames that will limit peripheral vision. Short of welding goggles what works for you :D |

wrap around "choppers" usually around $11.99 in most petro or flying J t/s. lightweight, durable, oh lets not forget "Cool and comfortable" either ;)

IF you can eventually afford them get Oakley's-No more of a Blazing place in Hell as Iraq and Oakleys were phenominal-Well worth it for your eyes if you're gonna be crossing the Mojave alot and also Snow blindness up here.

Thanks for the recommendations.
I guess if I want my eyes to last I should rethink my penny pinching. |

Maybe try Ebay for a pair? but from somebody Reputable and not counterfeits. |
Try a pair of Maui Jim's. I have a pair and couldn't be happier. They cost me a few bucks, but they are worth it. They work very well here in New England with snow and all. BOL

   Been there - done that!! Answer? Breakfast! Seriously..... if you'd have waited about 20 minutes longer to start driving, the sun would be at least up into your visor area. I usually stop for breakfast when the sun comes up and sits on the road like that. 8) 8) 8) 8) |

I wear prescription Oakley Juliets for driving. Goddam wanna talk expensive!!! But I bought them about 4 years ago so I think I got my moneys worth.
http://www.mercadolibre.com.ec/org-i...99805_4165.jpg I also wear prescription Ruby Project Graals. Definetly a great pair of glasses as long as you don't mond looking like a geek. These come with 3 sets of lenses and are found for less then 100. http://www.fahrrad.de/images/Radbril...algirl-med.jpg I also have amber oakley rain sunglasses but not much use for driving I find. |
