Engine failed to run! (HELP)
 

I have a volvo 01 with a cummins n14 out of nowhere it begann to shut off like it is running out of fuel and will not stay running but for few seconds at a time, i changed fuel filter , i even drained the tanks from the buttom, it still start and shut off,most time i need to use starting fluid to get it started, and it will not keep running even if i use fluid, i notice that the dash lights go off and on, so what's wrong, help please (mack)

I would find a Cummins dealer or good mechanic who can hook up to the ECM. It sounds like it is electrical, like either a sensor or something with your computer. They should be able to diagnose the problem in short order.
